The Role: The mission of the Associate Scientist Special Testing & Assay Transfer is to support the delivery of the highest-quality mouse models by producing accurate and reliable genotyping results. As the Associate Scientist, Special Testing & Assay Transfer you will be responsible for transferring and scaling up complex mouse genotyping and other bioanalytical assays into a production environment. This role conducts troubleshooting, design, and execution of gel- and capillary-based genotyping assays, RFLP assays, and real-time PCR assays, with responsibilities spanning multiple sites. Core Responsibilities: • Independently assess result quality, including identifying anomalies, determining their implications, and establishing appropriate follow-up actions, including technical corrections., • Perform all aspects of new assay transfer, including design, testing, and implementation into production., • Transfer all required genotyping assays to partner labs and troubleshoot any assay implementation issues., • Schedule personal workload to ensure high-quality results are delivered on time with minimal re-testing., • Contribute to process improvement efforts, including revisions to current processes and modification of existing assays to incorporate new platforms or technologies., • Provide support in other laboratory areas, such as Genotyping or Genetic Monitoring, as needed.Education and Experience:, • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university, or equivalent technical/managerial experience.
