About The Seawane Club The Seawane Club is a premier private country club situated on 130 acres in Hewlett Harbor, Long Island, established in 1927 and just 45 minutes from Manhattan. Position Overview We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Senior Food & Beverage Manager to lead front-of-house operations at The Seawane Club. This is a key leadership role reporting directly to club ownership, with responsibility for managing daily service, staff, events, and the overall member dining experience. The ideal candidate brings a strong private club or fine dining background, natural leadership presence on the floor, and the organizational skills to run a high-volume, multi-faceted operation. Equally important is the ability to adapt — this role requires flexibility to meet the evolving needs of both our members and the business, and a willingness to wear multiple hats in a dynamic, owner-operated environment. Key Responsibilities • Lead all front-of-house operations including dining room, bar, poolside service, and private events, • Recruit, train, schedule, and manage a team of servers, bartenders, and support staff, • Conduct pre-shift meetings to communicate service standards, menu updates, and member priorities, • Execute member dining events, banquets, and private functions from setup through breakdown, including overseeing vendor load-out and ensuring the space is properly turned over, • Coordinate and run golf outings and golf-related food & beverage service, • Assist in managing and developing the club's wine program, including inventory, list curation, and member-facing tastings and events, • Collaborate with the Executive Chef on menu planning, service flow, and overall member experience, • Monitor service quality, member feedback, and staff performance; implement improvements as needed, • Oversee scheduling, timekeeping, and labor management for front-of-house staff, • Assist with broader club operations as needed in a dynamic, owner-operated environment Qualifications • Minimum 5 years of progressive food & beverage management experience, with demonstrated leadership of a front-of-house team, • Private club experience strongly preferred; banquet and event management experience required, • Proven ability to run high-volume member and banquet events with composure and attention to detail, • Working knowledge of wine and beverage programs; sommelier certification or advanced wine knowledge a plus, • Experience supporting or co-managing golf outings and related F&B logistics preferred, • Proficiency with POS systems and scheduling software; familiarity with Club Essentials or similar club management platforms a plus, • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a service-first mindset and natural presence on the floor, • Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays as the club calendar demands Compensation & Benefits • Base salary: $85,000 – $115,000, commensurate with experience, • Performance-based bonus opportunity, • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision benefits, • Paid time off and flexible scheduling during off-peak periods, • Meals provided during shifts, • Golf course access during off hours How to Apply Qualified candidates should submit a resume and brief cover letter to with the subject line: Food & Beverage Manager Application.
