Job Description Overview CTG is seeking to fill a Cloud Platform Administrator opening for our client in Jersey City, NJ. Location: Jersey City, NJ Duration: 7 months Duties: * Install, configure, and administer Data/Big Data components on cloud platforms. * Manage and support technologies such as Hadoop, Kafka, Spark, Snowflake, Informatica, Talend, DataStage, Cognos, Tableau, Power BI, Scylla, Splunk, and NoSQL databases. * Deliver data platform managed services in hybrid cloud environments, including performance tuning, cost optimization, and management of PaaS and SaaS services. * Provide operational support for data services, including installation, configuration, and ongoing maintenance. * Collaborate closely with clients, business partners, and cloud providers to ensure project requirements and service objectives are met. * Perform hands-on manual and automated configuration of data services to support business operations. * Apply data service management methodologies to ensure reliable, secure, and scalable operations. Skills: * Strong hands-on administrative expertise in cloud-based Data/Big Data platforms. * Proficiency in administration of Hadoop, Kafka, Spark, Snowflake, Informatica, Talend, DataStage, Cognos, Tableau, Power BI, Scylla, Splunk, and NoSQL DBs. * Knowledge of hybrid cloud environments and cloud service management (PaaS, SaaS). * Ability to tune performance and optimize costs in cloud platforms. * Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills. * Ability to work in a client-facing role and collaborate with cross-functional teams. Experience: * Prior experience administering and supporting enterprise-level Data/Big Data solutions in cloud environments. * Proven track record delivering managed data services with operational excellence. * Hands-on experience with automation of configuration and operational processes. Education: * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred. Equivalent work experience may be considered.
