Our strength-based model also supports progressive youth development programs, family support services and community school partnerships, The provision of accessible, high-quality family focused services to families of color is central to our holistic approach of strengthening families in a culturally competent manner. Our family- centered work serves to strengthen communities’ one family at a time. JOB SUMMARY: The Associate Executive Director of Family Support/Prevention Services (AED), is responsible for all aspects of day-to-day oversight of seven family support/preventive service sites in Brooklyn and Queens.The AED is responsible for program planning, project management, budgeting, staffing and operations of CHFS’ Brooklyn and Queens Family Support and Family Treatment and Rehabilitation (FTR) programs, as well as the School-Based Early Support programs, as contracted by NYC Administration for Children Services (ACS). The AED provides leadership, guidance, supervision and direction to program site directors, while integrating and advancing CHFS’ strategic mission, goals, and objectives. The AED is a member of the CHFS Senior Management team and is expected to work closely in a collaborative manner, with all other CHFS programs. The AED is community minded and establishes strong relationships with community partners who serve as referral sources for the preventive programs. DUTIES AND RESPONSBILITIES: • Serve as the key representative of CHFS’ Family Support/Prevention Services at public and agency functions, events, forums, with governmental oversights entities, city agencies, and non-profit community and with government and private funders., • Provide direct supervision of three Family Support Site Directors (SD), two FTR Site Directors and two School-Based Family Support Site Directors to support and maintain focus and consistency on CHFS’ level of professional standards, safety and risk, professional development and practices that are client- centered, culturally competent, and trauma-informed., • Provide direct program support, as may be required, in the absence of Site Directors., • Make site visits of all borough programs to foster and maintain strong ties/relationships with site staff and CHFS agency., • Collaborate with Operations Manager in monitoring program space, work environment, and equipment needs., • In partnership with SDs, ensure program staff are trained and implement Evidence Based/Informed practice models effectively with their client-families., • Supervise the Solution Base Casework Coordinator to assure model fidelity and proficiency in model practice., • Oversees, in collaboration with SDs, program compliance with ACS program standards and implements services initiatives for the program to meet all programmatic requirements, including but not limited to: timely intakes, client engagement, ongoing collaboration with COS units and Family Court Legal System (FCLS) as maybe required, collaboration with community providers to families, meeting family contact requirements, family goal achievements, timely Family Team Conference (FTCs) and Family Assessment Services Plans (FASPs), and ongoing appropriate casework documentation., • In collaboration with SDs, monitors and manages program utilization across programs., • In collaboration with the QA Specialist, utilizes QA Data to drive program performance and outcomes and ensure goals and targets are routinely met and/or exceeded., • In collaboration with QA Specialist and SDs, identifies additional pertinent data points that may further inform program practice/management., • Monitors and ensures program compliance and readiness for ACS PAMS audits., • In partnership with QA and SDs, establishes Collaborative Quality Improvement work groups to address program improvement needs., • Provide staff trainings as maybe required., • Present monthly program status report of all borough programs at Senior Team Management Meetings., • Collaborates with the Senior Management Team to advance agency and departmental goals., • Attends ACS and agency in-house trainings as required, • Participate in program planning, proposal writing and fund raising efforts., • Collaborates with the Fiscal Department and the Executive Director in the development of program budgets, and ensure programs function with their budgeting goals., • Completes special projects and other tasks as assigned by the Executive Director., • Flexible hours, including Saturdays as may be required. QUALIFICATIONS: • Masters or Doctoral Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health Counseling , Creative Arts Therapies or related degree, • NYS Licensed Clinical Social Worker, LMHC, LMFT, LCAT with five to ten years’ experience in a leadership role in NYC child welfare /preventive services ., • Ten plus years’ experience in preventive services, Knowledgeable and experienced in managing NYCACS funded preventive service programs., • Experience overseeing multiple programs simultaneously with strong clinical and supervisory skills., • Proven track record of leading a successful program/s and meeting program outcomes. Experience in using CONNECTIONS, PROMIS, and Data Warehouse strongly preferred., • Strong verbal and written communication skills are also required, as well as being computer literate, and experience using Microsoft Office; Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint., • Bilingual in Spanish is strongly preferred.
