Job Description SUMMARY An employee-owned organization is seeking a skilled Electrical Design Engineer with 6–10 years of experience designing lighting and power systems for diverse building types. RESPONSIBILITIES • Design lighting and power systems for a variety of building types, including education, government, healthcare, retail, office, and high-tech facilities., • Collaborate with project teams to develop efficient, sustainable, and code-compliant electrical solutions., • Prepare and review design documents using AutoCAD and, ideally, Revit., • Support the development and review of mechanical system designs as part of multidisciplinary projects., • Conduct site visits, which may involve climbing ladders or accessing elevated areas as needed for project requirements., • Communicate effectively with clients, team members, and stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes. QUALIFICATIONS • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Architectural Engineering (with electrical design concentration)., • 6–10 years of professional experience in electrical building design., • PE license or willingness to obtain one., • Proficiency in AutoCAD; experience with Revit is preferred., • Familiarity with LEED certification processes (LEED accreditation is a plus)., • Strong written and verbal communication skills., • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)., • Creative problem-solving abilities and passion for sustainable design., • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment., • Valid driver’s license and ability to access job sites as needed.
