Key Responsibilities • Assemble industrial valves and mechanical components using blueprints, specifications, and work instructions, • Inspect incoming parts and materials for quality and accuracy, • Use hand tools, power tools, torque wrenches, calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments, • Perform pressure testing and functional testing to verify product performance, • Identify, diagnose, and report defects or quality concerns, • Disassemble, repair, and rebuild valves as needed, • Complete production and testing documentation accurately, • Collaborate with quality, engineering, and production teams, • Follow all safety procedures and quality standards, • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work area, • Support continuous improvement efforts and team goalsWhat We're Looking ForRequired Qualifications, • Mechanical aptitude and strong problem-solving skills, • Experience using hand tools and power tools, • Ability to read and follow work instructions and technical documentation, • Basic math and measurement skills, • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality, • Ability to work effectively in a production environment, • Reliable attendance and strong work ethicPreferred Qualifications, • Experience as a Mechanical Assembler, Production Assembler, Technician, Maintenance Mechanic, Machine Builder, or related role, • Blueprint or technical drawing reading experience, • Experience using measuring equipment including calipers, micrometers, and torque wrenches, • Manufacturing, industrial, construction, automotive, or production experience, • Experience with valve assembly, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, pumps, or mechanical repair Candidates with strong mechanical ability and hands-on experience are encouraged to apply, even if they do not have direct valve assembly experience. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of clifton park, NY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
