We are seeking a strategic and hands-on Senior of Inventory Planning & Procurement to lead production planning, forecasting, procurement, inventory control, and vendor management for a growing manufacturing and distribution organization. The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in production planning, supply chain operations, forecasting, inventory analysis, vendor negotiations, and ERP systems — specifically strong expertise with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. • Negotiate pricing, service agreements, and terms with manufacturers, suppliers, and converters, • Manage vendor relationships and support ongoing procurement initiatives, • Monitor supplier performance, lead times, and inventory flow, • Lead forecasting and procurement planning across all product lines, • Review purchasing activity against cash flow projections, • Develop inventory strategies that support sales growth while minimizing risk and excess inventory, • Maintain optimal inventory levels across multiple warehouse locations, • Monitor inventory turns, aged inventory, overstock reporting, and reduction planning, • Oversee purchase receipts, logistics entries, and inventory reconciliation processes, • Lead annual physical inventory processes and reconciliation reviews, • Create analytical reporting related to inventory usage, warehousing, freight, product profitability, and operational costs, • Develop and improve forecasting and procurement procedures, • Support leadership with reporting and operational planning initiatives, • Lead and mentor a team of inventory and procurement professionals, • Manage scheduling, staffing, training, and performance management within the department, • Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Operations, Finance, and Senior Leadership teams, • Bachelor’s Degree required, • 15+ years of inventory planning, procurement, supply chain, or manufacturing operations experience, • Minimum 3 years of experience using Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, • Strong background in:, • Inventory management, • Production planning, • Forecasting, • Procurement, • Vendor negotiations, • Logistics coordination, • Warehouse operations, • Inventory reconciliation, • Experience managing teams and cross-functional operations, • Advanced analytical and reporting skills, • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities, • Manufacturing or converting environment experience, • Multi-warehouse inventory management, • Supply chain optimization initiatives, • ERP implementation or process improvement exposure, • FSC certification or regulated product environment experience is a plus, • Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, • ERP Systems, • Advanced Excel, • Forecasting & Procurement Software, • Inventory Management Systems, • Reporting & Analytics Tools, • Hybrid role — onsite in Rye, NY three days per week, • Some remote flexibility may be considered based on experience, • Domestic travel up to 25%, • International travel up to 10%
