The role includes assisting with patient care, monitoring vital signs, specimen collection, documentation, and supporting clinical procedures to maintain a safe and efficient patient care environment. Responsibilities * Monitor and document vital signs and patient conditions. * Collect and label lab specimens; perform basic tests (dipstick, hemoccult, urinalysis). * Perform venipuncture/fingerstick blood collection and operate EKG/ECG equipment. * Assist with patient exams, procedures, and basic first aid (wound care, dressing changes). * Prepare and disinfect exam rooms, equipment, and supplies. * Conduct patient intake interviews and maintain accurate records. * Educate patients on test preparation and respond to inquiries. * Coordinate scheduling, maintain supply inventory, and transport patients within the facility. * Collaborate with the healthcare team and assist with staff orientation as needed. Requirements * Minimum 2 years Med/Surg experience * High School Diploma or GED * Hands-on Phlebotomy and EKG/ECG training (online-only programs not accepted) * AHA BLS Certification required * Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills Preferred: Phlebotomy and EKG/ECG Certifications.
