Job Description Front Desk Medical Receptionist Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour Job description: We are a busy, growing, neuropsychology practice in need of a front desk associate immediately to work with our team of psychologists and social workers. We have 4 locations in New Jersey: Freehold, Toms River, Manahawkin, and Galloway. This position is in our Toms River office supporting clinicians and other staff members. This is a full time position Monday through Friday. Salary is commensurate with experience. Prior billing experience helpful but not required. Candidate must be reliable, friendly, professional, able to work independently, be a team player, energetic, punctual, and must be able to multi-task. Serious inquiries only! PREVIOUS MEDICAL OFFICE FRONT DESK/ADMINISTRATIVE EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED. Excellent verbal, writing and proofreading skills are a must, as well as attention to detail. Candidate must possess good computer skills, great communication and customer service skills, be comfortable in using EMR and scheduling software in making appointments for patients, have strong organizational skills, and have a great work ethic. This position serves patients by greeting and assisting them; scheduling appointments; emailing testing links; maintaining records and accounts; as well as other duties as assigned. Duties: • Greeting patients and visitors, in person or on the telephone; answering or referring inquiries; sending links for remote sessions; collecting copays and past due balances., • Optimizes patients' satisfaction, provider time, and treatment room utilization by scheduling appointments in person, by telephone or via email., • Keeps patient appointments on schedule by notifying provider of patient's arrival and reminding provider of service delays., • Maintains patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and financial information., • Recording and collecting patient co-pays; updating patient insurance information and demographics. *Email and follow up with patients regarding questionnaire links. • Maintains inventory and equipment by checking stock to determine inventory level, anticipating needed supplies and notifying the office manager. *Training new employees as needed. *Additional duties as assigned.
