Moss is seeking a polished, PR-trained Communications, Events & Community Associate to join our small but does-it-all Creative and Member Experience team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in public relations and a genuine interest in hospitality, events, copywriting, and marketing — someone who thrives in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment and takes pride in delivering thoughtful, detail-driven work. The Communications, Events & Community Associate will play a key role in supporting the Head of Brand Strategy & Partnerships and the Head of Editorial & Member Communications, helping to deliver best-in-class storytelling, experiences, and communications across the Moss brand. This position is perfect for a proactive, service-minded professional who brings both creativity and organization to everything they do, and who is excited to help shape how our members experience Moss. COMPENSATION AND CLASSIFICATION: The salary wage for this position is $75,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience. CLASSIFICATION: This is an exempt, salaried position. In accordance with the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), you are not eligible for overtime pay. Your compensation is intended to cover all hours required to fulfill the responsibilities of your role. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: RSVP & Guest Management • Own RSVP management and invitation setup in Zkipster., • Manage on-site guest lists and check-in processes at events., • Be present at events to welcome members, introduce the community experience, and troubleshoot guest needs in real time. Event Operations & Coordination • Key support person for the creation and maintenance of communications and events calendar, both internal and external., • Support the ideation and execution of Intelligent Leisure events from start to finish., • Assist with prep and day-of coordination for club events and partner activations, including tracking team deliverables and cross-departmental comms and note-taking., • Be present on-site for Intelligent Leisure events, in support of the Head of Brand Strategy & Partnerships. Communications & Copywriting • Help the Head of Editorial with written member communications, including drafting and publishing across channels: event descriptions, app listings, email notices, monthly newsletters, and social captions., • Support event listing posting on our app, including event copywriting and metadata., • Support social media account management for Moss and Bedrock Instagram accounts (scheduling, captioning, basic engagement)., • Cross-team support, • Collaborate with Brand Strategy & Partnerships and Editorial teams to align messaging, timelines, and deliverables., • Act as a community-facing representative to uphold Moss's voice and member experience standards. QUALIFICATIONS: • Prior experience in PR, hospitality, or events is required., • Proven experience managing RSVPs and guest lists (Zkipster experience preferred)., • Comfortable working in-person at live events; strong interpersonal skills and confidence engaging members and partners on-site., • Strong organizational skills, ability to manage multiple events and timelines, and excellent note-taking., • Self-starter, sociable, and able to troubleshoot in fast-paced environments., • Bonus: familiarity with New York culture and community spaces., • Strong copywriting and editing skills across platforms: email, app listings, newsletters, and social., • Experience writing concise event descriptions and promotional copy that reflect brand voice., • Familiarity with social media account management and basic content scheduling., • Comfortable maintaining a communications/events calendar and tracking content deliverables., • Prior experience in communications, PR, or editorial roles required., • This role is full-time, in-person 5 days a week/in office at Moss New York — not hybrid or remote., • Degree or coursework in communications, marketing, hospitality, or a related field is a plus.
