Project Manager( Technical/Media Infrastructure) Pay Rate: $70–75/hr (based on experience) Location: New York City, NY (Midtown) — Local candidates only Schedule: Hybrid (3–5 days onsite depending on project needs) Duration: 12+ month contract with strong potential for multi-year extension and permanent Hours: Full-time, Monday–Friday (9:00 AM – 6:00 PM) About the Role Our client is seeking a Technical Project Manager to support a large-scale broadcast technology transformation across enterprise media systems. This role focuses on managing technology implementations, system rollouts, and infrastructure initiatives rather than content production or newsroom operations. The ideal candidate brings strong project management fundamentals combined with experience delivering technical or technology-driven projects. This person will work closely with engineering teams, vendors, and executive stakeholders to ensure complex initiatives are delivered on time and with clear structure. Key Responsibilities • Lead end-to-end project execution across technical workstreams, ensuring projects are delivered on schedule and within scope, • Build and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, milestones, and dependency tracking for complex technology initiatives, • Coordinate closely with engineering, product, infrastructure, and vendor teams to align requirements and execution plans, • Manage large-scale system implementations, technology migrations, and infrastructure rollouts, • Run structured status meetings, sprint updates, and stakeholder check-ins to ensure clear progress tracking, • Identify risks, blockers, and technical dependencies early, driving mitigation plans and escalation when needed, • Provide clear executive-level updates for leadership on project progress, timelines, and risks, • Ensure strong project management discipline including planning, documentation, tracking, and reporting, • Support the rollout of new systems, platforms, or infrastructure improvements across multiple teams Required Qualifications • 3–10+ years of project management experience within technology, infrastructure, or Broadcast environments, • Must have experience working on large scale projects - technology focused, • Proven experience managing technical or technology-driven projects (system implementations, migrations, infrastructure deployments, etc.), • Strong experience working directly with engineering or technical teams, • Experience on PM fundamentals (tools, planning, risk, SOW, budgets), • Demonstrated ability to manage large, cross-functional projects with multiple stakeholders and dependencies, • Strong understanding of project management fundamentals including planning, risk management, scope control, and delivery, • Experience working with project management tools such as Jira, Smartsheet, MS Project, Asana, or similar platforms, • Strong proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and reporting dashboards, • Experience providing clear updates to senior leadership or executive stakeholders, • Ability to manage vendors and external partners within large programs, • Comfortable working in fast-paced environments with multiple concurrent projects, • Strong project ownership and accountability, • Clear communication across technical and non-technical stakeholders, • Ability to translate complex technical topics into clear project plans, • Must be local to New York City and able to work onsite 3–5 days per week Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have) • Experience working in media, broadcast, streaming, or entertainment environments, • Exposure to broadcast technology, media infrastructure, or video platforms, • Experience supporting technology transformations or large enterprise system implementations, • Familiarity with cloud platforms, storage systems, or media workflows, • PMP, Agile, or similar project management certifications
