Reporting to our Creative Director, you'll be responsible for turning footage into powerful narratives, crafting videos that drive impact, emotion, and action. This is more than a technical editing job, it's a creative leadership opportunity inside one of Canada's most dynamic entrepreneur-led media companies. What You'll Do Core Video Editing • Edit short- and long-form videos for YouTube, social media, podcasts, and online courses, • Apply transitions, titles, captions, color correction, audio cleanup, and pacing to match platform best practices, • Implement creative storytelling techniques to elevate raw footage, • Work with directors, producers, and talent to deliver a compelling final product, • Contribute to the creative planning process, including brainstorming, scripting, and content layout, • Organize and manage media libraries, B-roll, templates, and assets for ease of access, • Maintain consistency in brand style, color palette, and design across all content, • Stay current with trends in digital media, YouTube editing, short-form content, and platform-specific requirements, • Take feedback from performance metrics (click-throughs, watch time, engagement) and adapt editing styles accordingly Required • 3+ years of experience in video editing for online platforms, • Advanced skills in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Audition, or comparable tools, • A strong portfolio that includes both short-form (e.g. reels) and long-form (e.g. YouTube) content, • Deep understanding of pacing, structure, and storytelling in video, • Ability to work full-time on-site in Kelowna, BC, • Great time management and file organization habits, • Experience editing videos for personal brands, coaches, or high-growth media startups, • Familiarity with DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, or color grading workflows, • Light graphic design skills using Canva, Photoshop, or Illustrator, • Passion for personal development, entrepreneurship, or the creator economy

Job Summary: The Mark Morris Dance Group (MMDG) seeks a part-time Marketing Assistant to join a highly motivated, results-driven marketing team dedicated to advancing the reputation and brand visibility of the Mark Morris Dance Group and Music Ensemble, while expanding awareness of the Mark Morris Dance Center and the Dance for PD® program. The Marketing Assistant will support the execution of MMDG's marketing and content strategy across owned, earned, and paid channels, with a particular emphasis on content creation and email marketing. This position provides on-site technical support during rehearsals, performances, and live events, with responsibility for troubleshooting issues as they arise and representing the theatre and ATG in a professional, client-facing capacity. The ATD operates within workflows established by the Production Director. Task assignments are distributed based on operational needs and individual skill sets. The Assistant Technical Director works in close coordination with the Technical Director on venue systems and technical matters, while all workflows, task assignments, and reporting remain under the direction of the Production Director.
