Position Overview Our Client is seeking a skilled, motivated, and client-focused Project Manager – Reconstruction to join our growing team in East Stroudsburg, PA. In this pivotal role, you will oversee all phases of residential and commercial reconstruction projects — from initial scope and estimate development through subcontractor management, permitting, scheduling, and final project closeout. You will serve as the primary point of contact for property owners and insurance representatives, ensuring every project is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality. This is a front-line management position requiring strong leadership, technical construction knowledge, excellent communication skills, and a genuine commitment to helping clients recover from some of the most stressful events of their lives. Key Responsibilities Project Planning & Execution • Plan and execute reconstruction and construction projects from initiation through completion, ensuring the highest quality of service at every stage, • Evaluate project sites; identify and document accurate scope of work for each project, • Prepare detailed estimates using Xactimate and other company software tools, • Develop project schedules, timelines, and budgets aligned with client and insurance expectations, • Obtain required permits and coordinate all necessary inspections, • Monitor projects continuously for adherence to scope, schedule, and budget; proactively resolve any deviations Team & Subcontractor Management • Hire, qualify, and manage subcontractors including carpentry, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing trades, • Develop and maintain a reliable network of subcontractors capable of handling varying project workloads, • Negotiate terms, set performance expectations, and ensure all subcontractor work meets Our Client's quality standards, • Conduct regular site visits; provide written updates with photographs documenting project progress, • Conduct safety toolbox talks and enforce compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies Client & Insurance Communication • Serve as the primary point of contact for property owners and clients throughout the entire reconstruction process, • Educate clients on the reconstruction process, setting clear expectations and maintaining open, consistent communication, • Obtain client and insurance carrier agreement on project scope and estimates prior to commencement, • Maintain written communication with customers, teammates, vendors, and insurance representatives, • Manage the overall customer experience and track client satisfaction, including online reviews, • Address and resolve client concerns or warranty issues promptly and professionally Financial & Administrative Oversight • Manage project budgets, track expenses, and ensure financial viability of each project, • Review and approve job site documentation to support services rendered and ensure accurate billing, • Manage production expenses including equipment, vehicles, materials, and subcontractor costs, • Source materials efficiently, balancing quality and cost-effectiveness, • Manage all warranty activities and ensure project closeout documentation is complete and accurate Business Development • Evaluate and help sell new reconstruction projects, contributing to company revenue growth, • Build and maintain strong relationships with insurance adjusters, property managers, and referral partners, • Represent Our Client professionally in all community, client, and industry interactions Qualifications & Requirements Required • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in construction project management, preferably in restoration or insurance repair, • Solid working knowledge of residential and commercial construction trades (carpentry, mechanical, electrical, plumbing), • Proficiency with Xactimate estimating software, • Strong leadership skills with demonstrated ability to manage diverse teams and subcontractors, • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to interact professionally with clients, insurance adjusters, and team members, • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines, • Valid Pennsylvania driver's license with clean driving record, • High school diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred Preferred • IICRC certifications (WRT, FSRT, AMRT, or similar) highly desirable, • PMP (Project Management Professional) or equivalent certification a plus, • Experience working with insurance carriers and navigating the claims process, • Familiarity with local building codes and permit requirements in Monroe County and surrounding PA counties, • Prior experience with restoration industry software and CRM platforms Work Environment & Physical Requirements This role operates in both office and active job site environments. The Project Manager spends significant time in the field visiting project sites, meeting with clients, and supervising reconstruction activities.
