The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology is on the lookout for a Laborist to become part of our dynamic Faculty Group Practice (FGP) in Manhattan. Our practice caters to a varied demographic, managing both low and high-risk pregnancies, with around 2,500 deliveries annually at our Tisch Hospital location. In the role of Laborist, you will be essential in delivering outstanding inpatient care for those requiring obstetric admission. We are in search of a candidate who possesses strong communication abilities, is dedicated to patient safety and quality, and thrives in a fast-paced, high-acuity, multi-disciplinary clinical environment. Key Responsibilities: Inpatient Coverage: • Deliver comprehensive inpatient care for both FGP patients and those unassigned who need obstetric admission., • Assess patients in triage as necessary and facilitate their admission or discharge based on clinical needs., • Conduct neonatal circumcisions as part of standard postpartum care., • Oversee and provide care for high-risk patients, with 24-hour consultation support from Maternal Fetal Medicine specialists., • Uphold the highest standards of evidence-based obstetric care., • Follow established policies and procedures to improve operational workflows for patient care. Engage in committees and meetings focused on departmental development, resident education, and quality initiatives as needed. Educational and Research Contributions: Assist in achieving the educational and research objectives of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Compensation: The salary for this position ranges from $275,000 to $350,000. This range pertains to full-time employment and does not encompass incentive compensation or benefits. Qualifications: • Doctoral Degree (M.D. or D.O.)., • Board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology., • Completion of a U.S. Accredited OB/GYN Residency training program., • Possession of a New York State Medical license., • A minimum of five years of relevant work experience.
