Job Description JOB SUMMARY The primary focus of the General Contractor Sales Representative is to win new sales, further develop existing contractor portfolios as well as maintain and build current and future relationships with our clients. The role will also serve as a consultant to customers by using technical product knowledge of overhead door and dock leveler lines. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS • Develop and grow the assigned sales territory by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities., • Manage existing contractor and customer relationships, promote and sell products and service upgrades, • Build and maintain customer relationships, achieve or exceed sales objectives, and serve as a technical consultant to customers, • Develop and rapidly grow General Contractor portfolio through cold calling and familiarity with local market conditions and competitor dynamics, • Serve as a technical consultant, advising customers on product selection, system functionality, and service options., • Prepare and deliver accurate estimates for the installation of new products and the repair of existing equipment., • Present, explain, and promote service contracts and maintenance agreements to customers., • Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge of overhead doors, dock levelers, and associated equipment General knowledge and understanding in analyzing new construction blueprints., • Track sales activity and opportunities using CRM tools and regularly report progress toward sales goals., • This job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of the required activities, duties, or responsibilities of the team member. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES • This position has no supervisory responsibilities. WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS • Primarily on-site at client locations, • Significant time driving, conducting face-to-face meetings, and occasionally visiting active job sites, which may involve exposure to warehouses or industrial environments., • Sitting, standing, or walking may occur for extended periods of time, • Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds at times. PLANNED BUSINESS TRAVEL • This job requires 50% planned business travel. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE • High School diploma or equivalent is required. Associate or bachelor’s degree, preferred., • Combined experience in sales practices of 4 or more years with education is desirable., • Previous sales, particularly in industrial, technical, or B2B environments, is preferred.
