Job Description Certified Medical Assistant-exp.2-5 yrs. cardiology; assist physician by preparing patient for physician, taking vitals, reconciling medications and obtaining health history recording same in electronic health record; perform EKG per physician order; handling patient phone calls and prescription renewals; Holter monitor application and downloading; work in protime lab; schedule appointments; complete physician requests via EHR tasks; preview EHR prior to visit to obtain results or records needed for the visit. Must have 2-5 years experience in cardiology; certified by a recognize board as a Medical Assistant and have earned a high school diploma. Proficient in EKG; knowledge of cardiac medications; ability to work under pressure; team player; excellent communication skills; electronic health records experience.
