Job Description Summary Position Overview: Children’s Day Preschool (CDP) seeks a talented and motivated individual to fill our part-time position as Staff Accountant. Reporting to the Executive Director, the Staff Accountant will be an integral part of our small, highly productive operations team. As our Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of all general ledger functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, journal entries, bank reconciliations for monthly soft closings and the annual hard close, and preparing and maintaining all supporting documentation, schedules, and reports for the annual audit. Other accounting responsibilities include maintaining fiscal policies and internal controls to ensure organizational financial health and compliance with accounting standards necessary to facilitate CDPs mission and vision. An outstanding staff accountant candidate will also have excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills. Duties Key Responsibilities Bookkeeping: • Perform accounts payable functions: record invoices, investigate discrepancies, and ensure timely processing and payment., • Perform accounts receivable and cash receipts functions: record payments and process cash receipts., • Enter all financial transactions accurately into accounting software., • Manage day-to-day paperwork: copying, scanning, filing (binders/vendor folders), emailing, uploading, etc., • Follow internal control processes for bank deposits., • Support audit preparation and grant compliance documentation., • Maintain organized financial records and vendor files. Job DescriptionDescription: POSITION SUMMARY: This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. Provides direct supervision of a group of children in a seasonal day camp. The Camp Specialist shall design and deliver a program specialty in their designated area tailored to the skills and interests of each age group. He or she will work with other counselors to bring about quality programming in that specialty area. Activities should nurture creativity, cooperation, skill and self-esteem and support the potential of all youth in programs and facilitates peer-to-peer connections as part of the overall camp experience. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 1. Plan, setup and deliver a variety of activities within specialty area that are age specific and that keep children’s interests high., 2. Instruct Counselors on how to teach activities within specialty. Encourage activity planning and leadership for Counselors assigned to the activity., 3. Lead specialty activities with assistance from Counselors and help keep Counselors focused on the activity., 4. Control all supply inventory used in specialty. Assist Camp Director with ordering supplies. Keep supply storage area neat and organized., 5. Assist the Camp Director in carrying out themes and special events, general camp activities., 6. Greet campers with a smile and treat them with enthusiasm., 7. Learn camper’s names. Respond to campers needs., 8. Encourage camper’s youth development progress. The program aims to: • Respond to conflict and crisis through care-centered, non-punitive interventions, • Equip community members with conflict-prevention and skill-building tools Role Overview The Manager of Operations will serve as the operational hub of PCCC. This position ensures that the programs infrastructurefinance, administration, compliance, communications, and developmentis functioning effectively so organizers, crisis responders, and partner organizations can focus on community care. Working closely with the Executive Director of BLM Paterson and other sub grantees this role builds the systems that hold the program together.
