Job DescriptionJob Title: Assembler Job Description This role focuses on assembling a range of electrical products, from basic electrical cords to more complex mobile generator systems. You use point-to-point wiring and basic hand tools to build reliable products while maintaining a strong focus on quality and detail. This position suits someone who enjoys hands-on work, learning new skills, and contributing to a production team. Responsibilities • Assemble electrical products, including electrical cords and mobile generator systems, according to specifications and work instructions., • Perform point-to-point wiring to connect components accurately and safely., • Strip wire and prepare conductors using appropriate tools and techniques., • Use hand tools such as screwdrivers, tape measures, wire strippers, and utility knives to complete assembly tasks., • Follow production processes and quality standards to ensure consistent, high-quality output., • Inspect work for accuracy, proper wiring, and overall quality before moving products to the next stage., • Collaborate with the assembly supervisor and other team members to meet production goals and timelines., • Maintain a clean and organized work area to support safety and efficiency., • Adapt to different product types and assembly tasks as needed within the production environment., • Communicate clearly with supervisors and teammates about issues, improvements, or material needs.Essential Skills, • Hands-on experience with point-to-point wiring in an assembly or production environment., • Ability to strip wire safely and accurately using proper techniques., • Proficiency with basic hand tools, including screwdrivers, tape measures, wire strippers, and utility knives., • Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate wiring, measurements, and assembly., • Reliability in attendance, punctuality, and completing assigned tasks., • Flexibility to handle different assembly tasks and adapt to changing production needs., • Positive personality and ability to work well within a team setting., • Strong willingness to learn new processes, products, and techniques.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • Demonstrated interest in electrical assembly, production, or related hands-on work., • Ability to read and follow basic instructions, diagrams, or measurements., • Comfort working with electrical components and tools in a production environment., • Openness to training and continuous skill development.Why Work Here? Work Environment This is a first-shift role with typical hours from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. You work in a production environment focused on assembling electrical products, using common hand tools such as screwdrivers, tape measures, wire strippers, and utility knives. The setting is hands-on and detail-oriented, with close collaboration among assembly staff and supervisors to meet production goals. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Piscataway, NJ. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $18.70/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
