Job Description Technical Recruiter Location: Remote (Phoenix, AZ or Portland, OR areas preferred) Duration: 6-month contract (with potential extension or conversion based on performance and business need) About Phoenix Staff Phoenix Staff is a relationship-first IT staffing firm that partners closely with both clients and candidates. About the Role We’re hiring an experienced Technical Recruiter to manage the full recruitment lifecycle for our client roles. While you’ll partner with a dedicated technical sourcer, this role also requires the ability to source independently when needed—especially on hard-to-fill or niche openings. What You’ll Do • Manage full-cycle recruiting for contract and direct hire IT roles, • Partner with account managers to understand client needs, priorities, and hiring strategy, • Screen and interview candidates across applications development, infrastructure, and other IT domains, • Source candidates directly when needed, particularly for difficult or niche roles, • Build and present strong candidate write-ups for internal and client submission, • Prepare candidates for interviews and manage feedback loops, • Lead compensation discussions, including hourly rates and conversion expectations, • Manage multiple roles simultaneously, prioritizing time effectively across competing needs, • Strategize on hard-to-fill openings and adjust approach based on market feedback, • Maintain accurate and organized activity within the ATS (Loxo), • Stay engaged with placed candidates after start to ensure success, retention, and ongoing relationship-building, • Communicate proactively with others working on the same roles, sharing candidate insights, market feedback, rate expectations, and blockers in a way that drives alignment and informs next steps What We’re Looking For • 1–3+ years of IT recruiting experience within a staffing or agency environment, • Experience recruiting for applications development, infrastructure, and/or other IT skill sets, • Proven ability to onboard quickly in a new environment, learn processes and tools rapidly, and deliver results within a short ramp period, • Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing client priorities and timelines while staying composed, solution-oriented, and focused on driving progress, • Proven ability to manage multiple roles and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment, • Strong sourcing capability in addition to full-cycle recruiting experience, • Experience with Loxo is a plus, • Strong communication and relationship-building skills, • Ability to think strategically and problem-solve on challenging searches What Success Looks Like • High-quality submittals aligned with client expectations, • Ability to drive progress on hard-to-fill roles and think creatively when we run into challenges.
