Position Summary Under the direction of the Human Resources Manager, the Human Resources Specialist performs a variety of technical and administrative HR functions with a strong emphasis on payroll administration, employee records, and compliance. This role requires a high level of confidentiality, accuracy, and professionalism in a fast-paced hospitality environment. Key Responsibilities Payroll & HR Administration • Process and maintain accurate payroll data for hourly, salaried, and commissioned employees, • Oversee bi-weekly payroll processing, including audits and reconciliation, • Enter and maintain employee information such as rate changes, transfers, deductions, bonuses, and leave, • Ensure accurate processing of payroll deductions, benefits, reimbursements, and allowances, • Prepare and process final pay documentation and pay cards for terminations Employee Support & Compliance • Serve as a point of contact for employee and manager payroll-related inquiries, • Resolve payroll discrepancies in coordination with the corporate payroll team, • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in ADP Workforce Now, • Process time-off requests and ensure proper documentation is collected, • Demonstrate discretion and professionalism when handling confidential information Additional Duties • Assist with HR audits and compliance documentation, • Support HR initiatives and projects as assigned, • Work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays as needed Qualifications • Associates degree or equivalent combination of education and experience, • 12 years of Human Resources or payroll experience required, • Previous hotel or resort HR experience strongly preferred, • Working knowledge of HR laws and payroll regulations, • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred Skills & Competencies • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy, • Strong organizational and time-management skills, • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment, • Professional verbal and written communication skills, • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, • High level of integrity and discretion Our Values • Integrity We do the right thing, always, • Customer Focus We support our internal and external guests, • Teamwork We collaborate to achieve excellence, • Passion We bring enthusiasm to everything we do, • Self-Motivation We take ownership and initiative Work Environment & Benefits • Primarily indoor, resort-based work environment, • Competitive pay and comprehensive benefits package, • Employee perks, including winery and resort discounts, • Opportunities for growth within a luxury hospitality organization South Coast Winery Resort & Spa and Carter Estate Winery and Resort are equal opportunity employers.
