Position Overview The Engineering Department’s Operations Division Engineering Solutions Unit supports project delivery and reporting through consultation, development, testing, and implementation of system applications and workflows. The group maintains and supports the Engineering Department platforms and acts as the department’s liaison with the Technology Department. We are seeking an Application Developer specializing in Microsoft Power Platform and SharePoint Online to join our Engineering Solutions Applications group. This hybrid role is based in NYC with occasional on-site client support; travel to client sites in NY/NJ. Key Responsibilities • Architect, design, and develop new applications and workflows in Microsoft SharePoint Online, Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and Power Pages), and other Microsoft 365 products to meet client requirements., • Propose suitable platforms and technical approaches based on business requirements; provide workarounds when out-of-the-box functionality is limited., • Administer, support, and enhance existing SharePoint Online sites, applications, and workflows., • Design and implement customized web parts for SharePoint Online using SharePoint Framework (SPFX)., • Perform SharePoint user administration, end-user training, and support., • Design, develop, and support SharePoint forms/workflows using third-party tools such as Infowise Ultimate Forms and Plumsail Documents., • Develop and support .NET console applications that integrate data between SharePoint Online and SQL databases., • Design, develop, and maintain SQL tables, views, and stored procedures., • Design, develop, and support desktop and mobile apps using Microsoft Power Platform., • Interface with end users, business analysts, and other team members to collaborate and build solutions., • Draft and maintain technical documentation and support manuals., • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field from an accredited college (advanced degrees desirable but not required)., • Minimum of 3 years of demonstrated work experience with SharePoint Online architecture, development, and site administration., • Minimum of 3 years of demonstrated work experience in Microsoft 365 and Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps) architecture and development., • Extensive knowledge of SharePoint development tools, including SPFX and PowerShell., • Good knowledge of .NET programming and SQL Server., • Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize multitasking, meet deadlines, and manage changing priorities., • Excellent analytical and conceptual thinking skills., • Excellent oral, written, and communication skills., • Demonstrated proficiency in source control, task management, and deployment pipeline with Azure DevOps., • Experience working with Infowise Ultimate Forms and Plumsail Documents., • Experience working with Microsoft Power BI development., • Health & Wellness: Medical, dental, and vision coverage., • Retirement: 401(k) plan., • Paid Time Off: PTO, paid holidays, and personal days.
