Job DescriptionJob Title: Machine Operator Job Description We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious operator to manage and maintain articulated arm and gantry robotic systems used in the automated manufacturing of various industrial seals. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with robotic systems, a strong understanding of industrial automation, and the ability to troubleshoot and optimize robotic operations. Experience in quality assurance and control of finished products is also essential. There are two openings available: one on the first shift and one on the second shift. Candidates will also perform inspection and repair of products post-production. Responsibilities • Operate and monitor articulated arm and gantry robots for tasks such as welding, assembly, packaging, or material transport., • Perform routine inspections to ensure optimal robot performance., • Load and unload materials or components into robotic systems., • Adjust robot parameters and programming as needed to meet production requirements., • Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to resolve technical issues., • Maintain accurate logs of robot performance, downtime, and maintenance activities., • Follow all safety protocols and ensure compliance with workplace regulations.Essential Skills, • 6 months of experience operating industrial robots, preferably articulated arm and gantry systems., • Experience using calipers and micrometers., • Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of automation systems., • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints., • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail., • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment., • Willingness to work overtime and flexible hours or shifts as needed.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • Basic knowledge of PLCs and industrial control systems is a plus., • No formal education requirement.Why Work Here? Work Environment The production floor is clean, climate-controlled, and well-organized. Shifts include 1st shift from 6:30 am to 3:00 pm and 2nd shift from 2:30 pm to 11:00 pm. Training will occur on the 1st shift for approximately 2-3 weeks before transitioning to the 2nd shift. Operators will work with a lead operator/fabricator for training and daily duties. The team size consists of 4-5 operators on the floor. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Niskayuna, New York. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
