BRG's Clinical Economics and Healthcare Performance Improvement practices currently have several openings for CDI experts to join our team at the Consultant level. The Consultant position is a mid-level consulting staff position. This position requires a highly motivated problem solver with strong analytical ability and a desire to advance within the organization. An individual with an entrepreneurial spirit and an ability to apply creative solutions is a natural fit for this position. The Consultant is an integral part of the CDI team and works closely with the client’s CDI team, supporting classroom education and mentoring. They are responsible for ensuring the successful transfer of CDI best practices from the consulting team to the client team. The Consultant also facilitates accurate documentation for severity of illness (SOI) and quality in the medical record, which involves extensive record review and interaction with physicians, health information management professionals, coding professionals, and nursing staff. For candidates who are not based in the New York area, flexibility for travel (50-75%) is required for this position. Travel volume is dependent on project and client needs. For candidates based in the New York area, on-site presence on the client site in New York City is required. Responsibilities: • Review inpatient medical records for identified payer populations on admission and throughout hospitalization., • Analyze clinical information to identify areas within the chart for potential gaps in physician documentation., • Formulate credible clinical documentation clarifications to improve clinical documentation of principal diagnosis, co-morbidities, present on admission (POA), quality measures, and patient safety indicators (PSI)., • Facilitate modifications to clinical documentation through extensive interaction with physicians, nurses, and ancillary staff., • Work collaboratively with the coding staff to assure documentation of discharge diagnoses and comorbidities are a complete reflection of the patient’s clinical status and care., • Develop and implement plans for education of physician, nursing, and ancillary staff on documentation improvement. Responsibilities • Preparing the patient for the exam by performing preliminary tests, as needed;, • Reporting relevant information to the provider;, • Assisting the provider with patient care as requested;, • Performing scribe duties, as needed;, • Reviewing treatment procedures with patients;, • Assisting in ordering tests/retrieving results;, • Reviewing discharge instructions;, • Cast application, specialty cast, minor reductions/molding/suture/Staple removal and dressing changes;, • Prepares injections, obtains cultures as ordered/needed;, • Dispense Durable Medical Equipment (DME) to patients, application of DME, custom brace measurements, and, in some cases, ordering of DME inventory;, • Verifying patient information; recording medical history and reporting to physician;, • Demonstrate complete, accurate, and timely documentation in the electronic medical record system;, • Maintain and safeguard all patient records as indicated and required by the policies of the practice and the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA);, • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing;, • Unrestricted current LPN license to practice nursing in NYS required;, • 1- 3 years of recent experience preferred;, • Excellent communication and customer service skills;, • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and electronic medical records (EMR) preferred;, • Travel between offices as needed, reliable transportation is required

Job Description Job Title: Registered Nurse Reports to: Office Manager FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Summary: CNY Fertility is a renowned fertility center offering advanced treatments like IVF, IUI, and egg freezing. With a patient-centered approach and cutting-edge technology, we support individuals and couples on their journey to parenthood. Our Registered Nurse Performs patient-specific duties in the area of fertility including patient care, teaching, triage, procedures, and protocol in a clinical setting under the direction of the physician by performing the following duties. Required Duties and Responsibilities: Include the following. Other duties may be assigned. * Performs phlebotomy successfully. * Collects and labels specimen as outlined in lab orders/requisitions. * Transports specimens to the lab promptly for testing. * Starts, maintains, and discontinues IV lines. * Administers medications and follows medication protocols. * Provides patient educations and medication administration teaching. * Triages patient problems, questions, and concerns to the appropriate area. * Maintains factual and thorough health care records. * Communicates, reviews, and records all laboratory results. * Performs transvaginal and abdominal follicular and prenatal ultrasounds. * Monitors and manages fertility treatment cycles under the direction and supervision of physicians. * Performs intrauterine infusions. * Supervises all licensed practical nurses and medical assistants. * Participates in staff development, nursing conferences, infectious disease classes, and continuing education pertaining to area of expertise.
