Job Description & Requirements • Specialty: Ultrasound Technologist, • Discipline: Allied Health Professional, • Start Date: 03/09/2026, • Duration: 8 weeks, • 40 hours per week, • Shift: 8 hours, days, • Employment Type: Travel Job Title: Ultrasound Technologist Location: Long Island City, NY 11102 Job Duration: 9 Weeks Shift: 5×8 Hour Day Shifts (9:00 AM – 5:00 PM) Hours per Week: 40 Hours Guaranteed Hours: As per facility requirements Job Summary The Ultrasound Technologist performs ultrasound examinations, provides technical assistance to the Radiologist, and ensures proper operation and maintenance of ultrasound equipment. Duties and Responsibilities \t • Prepare and examine patients for ultrasound procedures according to departmental guidelines\t, • Operate, adjust, clean, and perform minor maintenance on ultrasound equipment\t, • Follow safety procedures to protect patients and staff\t, • Ensure adequate supplies are available\t, • Capture and transfer images to PACS and physicians' workstations\t, • Assist with scheduling exams and answering phones\t, • Help orient and mentor new ultrasound staff\t, • Registered with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS)\t, • Minimum 2 years of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist\t, • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office\t, • Knowledge of basic office and administrative practices\t, • Ability to problem-solve and make decisions\t, • Excellent written and verbal communication skills\t, • Associate's Degree in Diagnostic Medical Technology OR\t, • ARDMS – Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS)\t Founded in 2015, HonorVet Technologies stands as a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), proudly certified by NaVOBA and the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.
