We are currently seeking a Project Manager for an established Electrical Contractor with an office in Franklin Square and high-end electrical construction projects based in Manhattan. The right candidate must be able to commute to both locations as needed. Responsibilities of the Project Manager: * Oversee and manage all phases of multiple high-end electrical construction projects from inception through completion. * Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, budgets, and resource plans. * Lead project meetings with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors. * Manage RFIs, RFPs, submittals, change orders, and all related project documentation. * Ensure compliance with project specifications, drawings, codes, and safety requirements. * Monitor progress and proactively address issues to keep projects on time and within budget. * Provide regular status reports and updates to senior management and clients. * Maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and internal teams to ensure successful project delivery. * Train, mentor, and oversee Assistant Project Managers and support staff as needed. * Implement best practices in project management to improve efficiency and quality. Qualifications of the Project Manager: * Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, Engineering, or equivalent related experience. * Minimum of 3–5 years of Project Management experience in NYC electrical construction; high-end residential or commercial experience strongly preferred. * Solid understanding of building systems, including electrical, HVAC, and general construction concepts. * Strong blueprint reading and construction scheduling skills; familiarity with project management software is a plus. * Experience with Lutron lighting controls preferred. * Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. * Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills. * Must be a team player with the ability to effectively manage others and work collaboratively. * Ability to commute regularly to both Franklin Square office and project sites in Manhattan. Job Description Our expanding Owner’s Representative firm is seeking a talented MEP Project Manager with a minimum of 5 years’ MEP Project Management experience to join our team. New building and alteration experience is required. Our firm is not involved in single family residential construction. Only applicants with relevant large scale commercial experience will be considered. We offer a great working environment and a diverse project portfolio. The successful candidate will ensure that projects are coordinated and completed in a safe, timely, efficient, effective and profitable manner. The MEP Project Manager will be held responsible for all aspects related to project assignments. Job activities will include interactions with clients, and client representatives. Organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects is required. The MEP Project Manager must prepare construction project budgets. The project manager is responsible for overseeing all projects that are awarded to them and working with their internal team to successfully run the project. They will oversee all budgeting, contracts, change orders, OAC meetings, schedule, and be the main point of contact for the client. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: • The project manager will represent the company when dealing with existing clients., • Ability to manage multiple projects at one time, in varying stages and of varying complexities, • Oversee and coordinate the design development with the design team from schematic design to 100% CDs with the development of project scopes of work., • Develop and review project budgets through SD, DD, and CD stages of drawing development, • Develop Scope and Prepare Bid Documents for projects, • Produce Bid Analysis with recommendation of award letter, • The job requires the ability to read and understand blueprints of varying complexity and size, • Must be able to work effectively both on independent projects and within the construction team, • Assist with permitting issues for local, state and federal requirements to ensure all permits are secured for projects., • Strong documentation and communication skills are required to maintain the level of service expected of a Project Manager, • Responsible for maintaining organized and updated job files, • Oversee day-to day management of projects, • Review all design drawings, • Work closely with project coordinator and site team, • Keep accurate and updated budget tracking, • Responsible for tracking all changes made throughout the project, • Perform on-site inspections for quality of work, quality of materials, conformity with plans and specifications, code compliance, on site safety and general progress of the construction., • Minimum of 5 years commercial MEP project management experience, • Relevant experience in the New York metropolitan area., • 4 year college degree in mechanical engineering preferred, but not required, • Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook, and Project., • Prior use of field management software a bonus (i.e. Procore), • Good verbal and written communication
