Our Diesel Mechanics perform inspection, diagnosis and repair of electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake and air systems on vehicles and equipment, including diesel heavy trucks and engines. Performs preventive maintenance inspection (PMI); troubleshoots, repairs, and rebuilds major components on vehicles and equipment. Ensures accurate diagnosis and effective repair and/or replacement of component. Requirements • 2+ years’ experience working as a heavy-duty Diesel Mechanic, • Hydraulics experience is highly preferred, • Engine and transmission maintenance and repairs, • Experience with diagnostic software such as Premium Tech Tool (Mack), Allison transmission, Cummins, Peterbilt, and Paccar., • Chassis component repairs and maintenance including air brakes system, suspension, drivetrain and steering components., • Maintain and repair exhaust systems equipped with DPF systems., • Maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with Corporate / OSHA Standards., • Assists with service calls for breakdowns, • Must be able to provide own tools., • A valid driver’s license is required., • Competitive wage (based on experience) plus Time and a half for Overtime., • Union Shop., • Medical, dental, vision, life, short-term and long-term disability coverage., • 401(k). The Institute’s Democracy & Justice pillar advocates for a progressive, policy-driven agenda to create and protect an inclusive and multiracial democracy without barriers in New Jersey; to provide a space for robust discussion with policy makers and elected officials, focused on racial and social justice issues; and to engage with, prepare, and educate voters to confidently participate in the democratic process. Over the coming years, the pillar will work on many initiatives to expand and build an inclusive, multiracial democracy in New Jersey, including, but not limited to: ensuring that voters, and especially voters of color, have equal access to a fair ballot; expanding the right to vote in elections, including to 16 and 17 year olds and those who are incarcerated; reducing barriers to participation, such as arbitrary voter registration deadlines, so that all eligible voters are able to cast a ballot; increasing civic education and engagement around voting and democracy; and exploring ways to incorporate voting rights protections into state law as federal voting rights protections continue to be threatened. Pay is $110-125k annually DOE Responsibilities: • Oversee all aspects of programs from concept definition through successful transfer to manufacturing, advocate for the customer and needs/requirements., • Provide leadership to cross-functional technical teams responsible for successful launch of multiple complex programs., • Responsible for overseeing the coordination and on-time/in-budget completion of all project tasks which may involve some or all of the following technologies: progressive stamping, insert molding, factory automation and other related tooling/processes., • Oversee the creation and distribution of project schedules. Ensure that project milestones and deadlines are met including assignment of responsibilities., • Facilitate design definition, design reviews, tooling kickoff, and project postmortem activities., • Understand and meet Regulatory (FDA) requirements and processes for development., • Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) including completion of related documentation, including but not limited to: DOE’s, FMEA’s, Process Flowcharts, Control Plans, Capability Studies and Gage R&R’s., • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or biomedical engineering., • Minimum of 10 years of medical device experience., • Experience in developing and implementing procedures, methods, and tools for the manufacture or design and testing of medical products., • Experience in contributing to technical and cross-functional teams in accomplishing projects with notable impact on company objectives.
