\n RadHealth+ is seeking a travel CT Technologist for a travel job in Hackensack, New Jersey. Job Description & Requirements\n \n • Specialty: CT Technologist\n, • Discipline: Allied Health Professional\n, • Duration: 13 weeks\n, • 40 hours per week\n, • Shift: 8 hours, nights\n, • Employment Type: Travel\n \n \n Role: CT Scan Technologist \n Location: Hackensack, NJ \n Shift: Tuesday - Saturday 11pm-7am \n Pay: 3500$/Week \n \n Job Description \n The Cat Scan Technologist performs computer tomography procedures and related techniques, producing sectional and three-dimensional images for the interpretation and assists with interventional and therapeutic procedures. \n Essential Generic Job Functions (List in order of importance): \n -Performs complex CT procedures. \n -Uses professional judgment when reviewing and obtaining patient’s clinical history for procedures, ensuring information is documented and scanned into PACS. \n -Prepares, screens and reviews the accuracy of the contrast questionnaire with patient and/or family member and scan into EPIC. \n -Identifies and/or administers contrast media related to CT exams as prescribed by a licensed practitioner. \n -Reviews the patient prescription to verify appropriateness of exam and if incorrect, communicates with the Radiologist and Referring Physician to obtain additional clinical information or a new prescription. \n -Responsible for calling physicians to clarify the prescription in accordance with the appropriate CT protocols. \n -Responsible for verifying insurance authorized exam script and send exam modification forms to Finance for insurance re-verification. \n -Responsible for obtaining outside studies (CD) then scheduling them in EPIC so the CD and reports are available in PACS in order to be compared by Radiologists. \n -Responsible for providing exam copies to the patient and requesting physician and/or family member. \n -Evaluates radiographs using PACS System to ensure that radiographs contain proper identification and are of diagnostic value. \n -Uses consistent and appropriate techniques to gather relevant information from the medical record, significant others and health care providers to prepare protocols for scanning and patient safety. \n -The collection of information is determined by the patient’s needs or condition. \n -Determines whether the patient has been appropriately prepared for the procedure. \n -Preps patient for scanning: (i.e. shielding, immobilization devices). \n -Determines appropriate type and dose of contrast to be administered. \n -Provides accurate explanations and instructions at any appropriate time and at a level the patient can understand. Addresses and documents patient questions and concerns regarding the procedure when appropriate. \n -Performs venipuncture, IV patency, and maintenance procedures according to established guidelines. \n -Monitors the patient’s physical condition for any adverse reactions during the procedure. \n -Responsible for scheduled shifts including holidays and weekends. \n -Overtime as needed to provide continual quality patients care. \n -On call assignments as needed per Department of Radiology policy. \n -Adheres to the policy of Employee ID, Standards of Behavior, Attendance, and Punctuality. \n -Lifts a minimum of 25 lbs., pushes and pulls a minimum of 50 lbs. and stands a minimum of 6 hours a day. \n -Identifies the needs of the patient population served and modifies and delivers care that is specific to those needs (i.e., age, culture, language, hearing and /or visually impaired, etc.). \n -This process includes communicating with the patient, parent, and/or primary caregiver(s) at their level (developmental/age, educational, literacy, etc.). \n -Adheres to the standards identified in the Medical Center’s Organizational Competencies and Standards of Behavior. \n null \n \n Skills: Required Skills & Experience: \n -Knowledge of anatomy and physiology and radiological positioning of the human body. \n -Understanding mechanical attributes of CT software and hardware. \n -Thorough knowledge of PACS system. \n -Maintains CEU Credits. \n -Team members must achieve ARRT (CT) certification within the twelve months following their hire date. \n -American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification within following three months of hire date. \n Preferred Skills & Experience: \n -Six months CT experience preferred. \n -Knowledge of Epic and any HIS/RIS system added by the hospital. \n Tuesday - Saturday 11pm-7am (Sunday & Monday OFF) \n Education: Required Education: \n -Graduate of a Radiologic Technologist program. \n -High School diploma or equivalent. \n Preferred Education: \n -N/A \n \n Required Certifications & Licensure: \n -NJ DEP Diagnostic Radiography License. \n -ARRT Certified R.T.(R) license required. \n -American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification. \n Preferred Certifications & Licensure: \n -ARRT certified R.T.
