Job Description Licensed Veterinary Technician Wanted Schoharie Valley Veterinary Clinic is seeking a Licensed Veterinary Technician in Schoharie NY. We are currently a two-doctor practice, and we are looking to expand our team. Special interests such as surgery, dentals and dental radiology, ultrasonography, digital radiology, in house labwork and fear free visits. Job Description: The Licensed Veterinary Technician will be responsible for assisting the practice with a wide variety of tasks. This includes but is not limited to: • Providing excellent customer service to patients, staff and clients., • Proficiency in venipuncture, iv catheter placement and administering treatments and medications., • Perform technician visits and treatments., • Help administer and monitor anesthesia, help perform surgeries and procedures as directed by the veterinarian., • Perform dental X-rays and ultrasonic cleaning of teeth during a dentistry., • Proficiency in taking various X-ray images., • Proficiency or interest in learning ultrasound a plus., • Maintaining and operating in-house laboratory machines., • Assist in maintaining equipment and supplies within the practice., • Help with emergency cases as needed., • 35-40 hours for full-time, • 8 hour shift Benefits for full-time position: Paid time off, paid holidays, health insurance, vision insurance, 401K with employer contribution, continuing education costs covered by the clinic, employee assistance program, employee discounts and perks.
