We are seeking an LVT to work full-time and part-time shifts at our hospital. VSCLI is a privately owned Specialty Referral Practice and a 24-Hour Emergency Care Hospital in Huntington, NY. About the Role: As a Dental Hygienist at Long Island Select Healthcare Inc., you will play a crucial role in promoting oral health and providing exceptional patient care. Your primary responsibility will be to perform thorough dental cleanings, ensuring that patients maintain optimal oral hygiene. You will also educate patients on proper dental care techniques and the importance of regular dental visits. Additionally, you will assist in the application of preventive treatments, such as fluoride and sealants, to help protect patients' teeth. Minimum Qualifications: • Valid dental hygiene license in the state of New York., • Experience working with pediatric patients. 1. Cleaning and polishing of teeth, 2. Instructing patients, oral hygiene habits, 3. Works chair side with dentist as needed during examination and treatments, 4. Performs X-rays, 5. Sets-up and cleans-up exam room for treatments as directed by dentist, 6. Disinfect and sterilize reusable medical instruments, 7. Makes molds for crowns and dental prosthetics, 8. Schedules dental appointments in practice management system, 13. Reviews service referrals, as needed, 14. Periodically reviews medical charts, 15. Means and ability to travel between clinics.
