Job Title: MBS Allocations – Fixed Income Middle Office (Agency MBS) AVP/VP Location: New York, NY 10020, United States Duration: Direct Hire Salary Range: $120K to $145K/(base) Job Description: This role supports the end-to-end processing of Agency MBS TBA trades and specified pools, ensuring accurate allocation, trade capture, and lifecycle management. The position works closely with Trading, Sales, Operations, Finance, Risk, and Technology to maintain position integrity, resolve trade breaks, and ensure timely settlement. The role is critical in reducing operational risk, improving workflows, and ensuring compliance with internal controls and market deadlines within a fast-paced fixed income environment. Key Responsibilities: • Execute daily allocation of Agency MBS TBA trades across accounts/strategies in line with policies and market cutoffs, • Monitor TBA and pool positions including pair-offs, dollar rolls, substitutions, and netting, • Provide trader support including trade entry, validation of trade economics, and completeness of trade details, • Review and validate trade capture accuracy (coupon, price/yield, factor, settlement date, fees), • Manage DTCC/MBSCC matching and affirmation; resolve unmatched trades and exceptions, • Partner with Operations to resolve settlement fails and escalate issues as needed, • Support reconciliation processes and ensure position/P&L integrity, • Coordinate CUSIP setup, factor updates, and new issue processing for securitized products, • Maintain operational controls, documentation, and support audit/regulatory requirements, • Process MBS trade assignments in alignment with desk instructions and market deadlines Qualifications: • 7–12+ years of experience in Agency MBS middle office, trade support, or allocations, • Strong understanding of MBS lifecycle including TBA settlements, dollar rolls, pair-offs, and trade assignments, • Hands-on experience with DTCC/MBSCC workflows, matching, and exception management, • Experience with systems such as ION, Bloomberg, MBSE, or Impact, • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups), • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, • Bachelor’s degree required Ideal Candidate Profile: • Deep product knowledge in Agency MBS (TBA + specified pools), • Ability to operate in a high-volume, deadline-driven trading environment, • Strong ownership mindset with the ability to proactively identify and resolve issues, • Experience partnering with front office (traders/sales) and cross-functional teams, • Detail-oriented with strong control mindset and risk awareness, • Comfortable handling complex trade lifecycle events and escalations independently Dexian is a leading provider of staffing, IT, and workforce solutions with over 12,000 employees and 70 locations worldwide.
