Job DescriptionDescription: Production Support Specialist (Lake Katrine) The Production Support Specialist supports the execution of production by coordinating schedules, tracking performance, and ensuring established procedures are followed. The role focuses on preparing, organizing, and communicating information that supports shift execution. Acting as a bridge between production teams and management, the Production Support Specialist facilitates alignment, information flow, and follow-up, helping maintain safe, efficient, and compliant operations while enabling the Production Manager to remain focused on shift oversight, decision-making, and continuous improvement. Requirements: Duties and Responsibilities Duties, responsibilities, and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following: People Planning & Shift Support • Maintain accurate people planning in the HR scheduling platform, ensuring schedules are posted at least 2 weeks in advance., • Anticipate and resolve staffing gaps or call-outs promptly, coordinating with Production Managers to maintain continuous operations., • Assist in the maintenance of key production metrics (output, waste, labor hours, downtime, efficiency)., • Prepare daily and weekly production summaries for the Production leadership team., • Support root-cause analysis for operational errors, waste, or deviations., • Monitor accurate completion of production paperwork. File records., • Support adherence to food safety, quality, and GMP requirements on the production floor, • Support the verification that process SOPs and sanitation standards are followed., • Assist with internal audits, inspections, and corrective action follow-up, • Act as a point of contact for production team questions and issues, • Support onboarding and training of new production employees, • Reinforce expectations around attendance, safety, and standard work, • Support improvement initiatives related to efficiency and waste reduction., • Help test, document, and roll out process improvements, • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on production environment, • Standard working hours: 40 hours per week with a dynamic schedule based on the needs of the department and the need to collaborate with other company leaders. This includes day, evening, overnight, and weekend hours as needed, • Able to stand for long periods of time while executing tasks quickly and accurately, • Able to work in a physically demanding, fast-paced environment, • Able to tolerate exposure to high levels of heat and cold, • Able to twist and bend repeatedly for long periods of time, • Able to pull, push, move, and lift to waist level, • Able to carry awkward and shifting weights up to 50 pounds in a safe and controlled manner, • Able to work with, handle, operate, and control hot equipment and products in a safe manner according to Bread Alone guidelines, • Willing to strictly adhere to and enforce all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), including professional standards for personal attire, hygiene, and accessories., • Respect for and comfort with a diverse and inclusive workplace, • Able and willing to use personal protective equipment (PPE) and assigned uniform as required per company policy, • Able to gain proficiency in operating and instructing on the proper use of all systems (physical and technological) in use in your department, • Willing to follow all safety guidelines set out by Bread Alone, • Willing to take responsibility for your own and others' safety by strictly enforcing all safety rules and regulations, and taking steps to mitigate any unsafe conditions or practices, enlisting the help of others as needed, • High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Food Science, or Business Administration preferred., • Minimum 2–3 years of production/operational experience in a food manufacturing, CPG, or high-volume production environment., • Prior experience with people scheduling, rostering, or workforce planning., • Demonstrated experience in a leadership or "lead" capacity (e.g., Team Lead, Shift Supervisor)., • Proficiency with digital scheduling platforms (e.g., Paylocity, UKG, ADP) is essential., • Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace, including Excel / Google Sheets (formulas, pivot tables, lookups), Word / Docs, and PowerPoint / Slides. Tool used to track production metrics, document standard work operating procedures, and communicate operational updates., • Working knowledge of GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices), HACCP, and OSHA safety standards., • HACCP Training or ServSafe Manager certification is a plus., • Ability to translate complex production data into clear, actionable daily reports for leadership., • Clear written and verbal communication skills, • Commitment to teamwork, respect, and continuous improvement. Job Type: Full-time, non-exempt Compensation: $20.00 - $40.00 an hour Schedule: 5 days - 8hours shifts.
