As part of the sales team, the specialist combines clinical insight with relationship-building skills to support high-quality patient outcomes while contributing to market development, provider engagement, and sustainable business growth. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Call on hospitals, physicians, clinics, skilled rehabs and any ancillary referral sources to educate and assist in gaining parenteral nutrition referrals., 2. Assist in patient education and coordination of referral management to ensure a successful on-boarding process to KabaFusion including assisting in obtaining all necessary documentation from the referral source to ensure the patient is a safe home infusion candidate and meets payer qualification to secure reimbursement., 3. Manage and ensure intake processes for parenteral nutrition patients are compliant with ACHC and government regulations. Comply with all applicable laws and regulations., 4. Lead and facilitate nutrition support team meetings and patient care conferences and contribute appropriate clinical information. Coordinate clinical plans of care with the nutrition support teams., 5. Identify potential growth opportunities for parenteral nutrition. Develop and maintain customer relationships. Serve as a content expert for sales support activities which may include providing continuing education programs., 6. Coordinate and conduct in-services and meetings with physicians, hospital discharge planners and other key decision makers, 7. Collaborate with operational or other sales counterparts on referral management, marketing reporting and various reimbursement and collections reports., 8. Participate in national and local nutrition organizations., 9. Maintain knowledge of current trends and research/developments in the field by reading journals, books, and other literature and attending related conferences., 10. Provide patients with timely and accurate information and take appropriate actions regarding our services to ensure complete satisfaction., 11. Other related duties as assigned by manager or designee. JOB REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS Education: • Bachelor’s degree in nutrition and dietetics; equivalent professional experience in a relevant industry may also be considered. Certifications or Licenses: • Registered Dietitian with current license in state of operation. Job Description Silver Lake Hospital of Newark, NJ is seeking to hire a per diem Registered Dietitian (RD) to plan, organize, direct, and evaluate all phases of nutritional care for our long-term acute care patients. ABOUT SILVER LAKE HOSPITAL Silver Lake Hospital is a long-term acute care hospital with a reputation of providing patients with a place to heal before heading home. A long-term acute care hospital (LTACH) is an acute care specialty hospital that provides highly advanced and focused care for higher acuity patients who have not responded to short-term treatment in traditional general hospitals. The average length of stay in an LTACH is 25 days as compared to a 3-5 day average stay in a general hospital. Our safe and state of the art hospital is designed to admit and care for the most critically ill patients. POSITION SUMMARY Using discretion and independent judgment, the Registered Dietitian will plan, organize, direct, and evaluate all phases of patient nutritional care, including patient diet therapy and education. This position does involve direct patient care for a population of patients between the ages of 18 and older and does require age specific experience, specialized training and/or expertise to serve this population. The Provider Recruiting Associate is the gateway into Nourish, and is more often than not the first person an RD will interact with from Nourish in their journey. This role is centered around creating an amazing hiring experience - vetting candidates, setting up offers, developing timely and encouraging candidate communication plans, and answering complex questions needed to help RDs decide if Nourish is the right place for them. You'll take full ownership of our applicants (a large and growing group each month) and shape their hiring experience from end to end. You'll help refine and evolve our hiring strategy, taking initiative to improve processes as we grow. And you'll get to interact every day with Providers making meaningful decisions for their careers, and extend them the opportunity to join Nourish's mission and community.
