Description We are seeking a Lead Transmission Line Engineer who will manage a collaborative and dynamic team working in a fast-paced environment, solving challenging problems involved with electric transmission. The successful candidate will serve as a Lead Engineer and Technical Project Manager on high voltage electric transmission line design projects of overhead and underground systems for some of the largest utilities in the country as well as regional utilities. The candidate will apply NESC, ASCE, ACI, NEC, and other applicable standards in the engineering and design of all types of capital and maintenance projects from 34.5 kV to 765 kV. Additionally, the candidate will direct a team of engineers that regularly perform engineering analyses, PLS-CADD modeling, structure loading calculations, foundation design using MFAD and/or LPILE, design structure framing and hardware assemblies, draft plans and specifications, and prepare bill of materials and procurement documents across project planning, engineering, environmental, permitting, and construction management phases. The technician will be responsible for day-to-day operations of the data center including facilities and telecommunication infrastructure. The responsibilities are wide ranging and multi-disciplinary. Mechanical responsibilities will include working on chilled water systems and components, HVAC systems such as roof top units, CRAC/CRAH units, humidification systems, and central plant operations. Electrical responsibilities will include working on electrical/critical power distribution from the Utility/Generator main switchgear through the UPS systems out to the customer load including power circuit installations. Fire Life Safety responsibilities will include monitoring wet sprinkler systems and pre-action sprinkler systems as well as their associated detection devices. Telecommunications responsibilities will include cross connect installations, cabling infrastructure management, advanced remote hands support, and customer cage and cabinet build outs. What You Will Contribute: The CNC Field Service Technician must have or be willing to learn through training on the job and classroom an understanding of mechanical drawings, electrical/pneumatic/hydraulic schematics, PLC ladder diagrams and testing equipment required to effectively diagnose and resolve issues with electrical/mechanical components, as well as electro-mechanical and machine control systems. * Daily travel from home to Customer facilities with occasional overnight hotel stays required when servicing remote Customer locations within the designated coverage territory or when participating in remote training programs. * Demonstrating a willingness to help others and be a team member * Install, commission, calibrate, maintain, tackle, diagnose, and repair CNC equipment and accessory CNC equipment at customer facilities.
