Maintain a supervisory log to document this supervision. ● Develop the Assistance Manager and identify areas for growth and development. ● Hold all staff to high performance standards to ensure they accomplish all functions and provide quality services to the residents. ● Collaborate with JYF leadership and Human Resources to ensure ongoing progressive discipline and the full accountability of staff behaviors. ● Orient new Youth Counselor, Shift Supervisor, and Control Room Monitor staff and provide ongoing training, support, and quality supervision. ● Ensure that all staff maintain training compliance as per ACS and OCFS mandates. ● Oversee the fiscal management of the facility with PEX/petty cash fund, clothing, purchasing, food ordering, household and personal hygiene supplies, etc. ● Work as part of a collaborative team which includes case planners, educators, clinicians, and nurses to support each youth as they work to meet their individual goals assessing during weekly treatment team meetings. ● Responsible for the appearance and safety of the facility. ● Assure that the agency vehicles are properly maintained. ● Schedule and maintain senior team meetings regularly. ● Share on-call responsibilities with Assistant Directors. ● Conduct pop-up visits of all tours. ● Ensure LSP complies with Prison Rape Elimination Act (PREA). ● Conduct weekly review of incident logs, camera reviews, MAR sheets and other facility related documents to ensure compliance. ● Other related tasks that may be assigned. Qualifications ● BA/BS/BSW in related field required Master degree preferred. ● 3-5 Years of management experience working directly with court-related youth in a residential setting. ● Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills in order to maintain required documentation. ● Strong knowledge of ACS mandates and policies ● Strong knowledge of court-related youth population ● Strong knowledge of residential operations ● Prior experience with fiscal management preferred. ● Must be able to pass the required Safe Crisis Management (SCM) instructor training. Supervisory Responsibility: The Residence Manager will assume supervisory responsibilities for all assigned staff including FT Youth Counselors, Assistant Residence Managers, Control Room Staff (LSP only) and Per Diem Staff. Work Environment: The Residence Manager will be based out of their assigned residential location. The Residence Manager will work 5 days per week in person within JYF facilities. 1 remote day may be available based on approval by Director of Operations. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: Full time position, 35 hours per week. Although general hours will be 9AM-5PM the Residence Manager will need to be extremely flexible to fit the needs of the program, often work late evenings, weekends, holidays or as needed by the demand of the program. The Residence Manager will be available to staff/persons supported 24/7/365. Utilize and model the appropriate techniques and procedures of SCM. Ensure all staff maintain consistent application of trained interventions, procedures, and responses (e.g., behavior support plans use and youth debriefings procedures). Position Summary: Queens Healthy Start is seeking a bilingual Community Health Worker who will provide home visiting and case management services to low-income parents and their infants under 18 months of age residing in South Queens, including the neighborhoods of Jamaica, Howard Beach, Queens Village, and Far Rockaway.
