Job Description YOUR ROLE As Senior Director, Supply & Transportation, you will lead the North America inventory, allocation, and transportation agenda with purpose and precision—ensuring the right product is in the right place at the right time, delivered efficiently and responsibly. You will champion an Anaplan-enabled allocation and replenishment model that strengthens on-shelf availability, protects inventory health, and elevates service levels across all channels. Working hand-in-hand with cross-functional partners, you will build a culture of operational excellence and continuous improvement. You will also set the strategy and execution standards for inbound/outbound transportation, carrier performance, customs compliance, and decarbonization—advancing both commercial performance and the Group’s sustainability commitments. ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES • Inventory, Allocation & Replenishment Leadership (Anaplan-Enabled), • Own North America inventory health across channels to support both Sell-In and Sell-Out performance., • Set the store replenishment strategy for core assortment, promotions, and merchandising initiatives—ensuring accurate stock placement and optimized availability., • Oversee outlet allocation and stock management to drive strong sell-through and financial outcomes., • Serve as the operational point of contact for revenue attribution impacts related to stock, inventory systems, KPIs, warehouse coordination, and cross-functional execution., • Build strong, proactive partnerships with regional sales leadership and commercial stakeholders, • Automated Replenishment Engine Management (Anaplan), • Lead the daily replenishment needs calculation in Anaplan, ensuring accurate integration of on-hand stock, stock in preparation, stock in transit, and open orders., • Ensure replenishment logic is aligned to business rules (WOS targets, cluster eligibility, minimum displays, and store/SKU-level adjustments)., • Maintain governance over parameter changes (e.g., Adjust Replenishment %, schedule overrides) to protect service levels and DC capacity, • Allocation Strategy Optimization & Inventory Health, • Drive the NA allocation strategy across channels, clusters, and product hierarchies to maximize sell-through, availability, and inventory efficiency., • Use demand signals (sales trends, promotions, seasonality, customer behavior, product attributes) to refine allocation rules and improve outcomes., • Monitor store inventory daily to reduce overstock, avoid stockouts, and prevent unplanned markdowns., • Identify opportunities to optimize delivery profiles—balancing cost efficiency with superior service performance., • Process Excellence, Reporting & Analytics, • Transition the business from manual allocation toward automated, recommendation-based workflows with strong adoption and controls., • Build and maintain weekly dashboards tracking sell-through, WOS, stock levels, replenishment accuracy, and allocation performance., • Monitor recommended vs. executed allocations; analyze variances, especially during peak periods and promotional events., • Benchmark best practices and lead structured continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen operational maturity., • Cross-Functional Partnership, • Partner with Merchandising to ensure allocation rules support assortment intent, visual standards, and launch priorities., • Work with Store Operations to communicate allocation updates and resolve store-level exceptions quickly and thoughtfully., • Align with DC/Warehouse teams to validate shipment timing, flow feasibility, and pick/pack constraints; ensure execution readiness., • Collaborate with IT to optimize data flows, automation reliability, and systems governance., • Inbound, Customs & Compliance, • Lead customs compliance across the U.S. and Canada, including harmonized code determination, duties validation, and broker management., • Manage duty drawback and customs claims (protests, rulings) and ensure disciplined documentation and audit readiness., • Carrier Performance & Service Excellence, • Own carrier relationships and performance management—on-time delivery, cost, and service quality., • Implement corrective action plans and continuous improvement based on carrier KPIs and service trends., • Transportation Strategy, Budgeting & Financial Visibility, • Define transportation strategy in partnership with the 3PL, aligning service, cost, and capacity requirements., • Collaborate with Procurement on rate negotiations and identify new logistics solutions and service opportunities., • Own the transportation budget (annual + RF2/RF3), analyze variances vs. forecast, and develop mitigation plans., • Strengthen controllership and financial visibility through disciplined reporting, root-cause analysis, and cost governance., • Sustainability & Carbon Footprint Reduction (Inbound & Outbound), • Decarbonization Through Modal and Flow Optimization, • Lead the shift away from air freight toward sea and road as the primary decarbonization lever, following internal low-carbon route playbooks., • Apply tightened governance thresholds for air freight and escalate exceptions with mitigation plans., • Improve consolidation, fill rates, and delivery frequency to reduce miles traveled and emissions., • Identify long-distance outbound flows suitable for road/rail conversion and redesign routes to lower carbon intensity., • Carbon Measurement, Reporting & Carrier Alignment, • Ensure accurate CO₂ measurement across inbound/outbound flows using the Group’s carbon intensity KPI., • Require verified emissions data from carriers for integration into Group reporting systems; monitor YTD trends and report progress., • Partner with carriers on transparency and emissions reduction roadmaps, including mode shifts and routing improvements., • Reduce emergency air freight through stronger planning, stock accuracy, and lead-time adherence; evaluate network options (inventory placement, DC capacity) to lower average transport distances., • A strategic, systems-minded leader who connects inventory health, replenishment logic, and transportation performance into one integrated operating model., • Brings 8–12+ years of progressive supply chain experience, with deep expertise in inventory/allocation and transportation in a multi-channel retail environment., • Demonstrated success deploying automated replenishment or recommendation-based allocation engines; Anaplan experience strongly preferred., • Strong working knowledge of ERP/WMS ecosystems (SAP / CEGID / Manhattan) and how data feeds, business rules, and algorithms drive allocation outcomes., • Experienced in transportation operations including carrier performance management, inbound logistics, and cross-border compliance (customs, duties, broker management).
