Counseling In Schools is currently seeking a full time Licensed Creative Arts Therapist who will provide supervision to 5 master’s level creative arts therapy interns placed in middle school afterschool programs. This role will encompass providing strong supervision to interns, offer creative arts afterschool groups, help develop afterschool SEL projects, and offer counseling via individual, group and family sessions, and crisis intervention during the school day to students in temporary housing. Key Responsibilities: • Serve as mental health liaison with school community, • Coordination and delegation of intern responsibilities, • Oversight of CIS and DYCD documentation for interns, • Facilitation of scheduled individual supervision and team meetings, • Direct service provision, • Reports to Site Director on day to day operation of the program including any relevant intern information. Required: • LCAT, ATR, • Supervisory experience, • Ability to travel between 3 different Brooklyn afterschool programs located in 11204,11216, and 11218. Primarily based at middle school in 11218 zip code., • Positive leadership skills, • Effective time management, • Strong written and oral communication, • Experience in school-based programs, • Experience in afterschool programming, • Experience with students and families living in temporary housing, • Experience in crisis intervention and de-escalation, • Experience working with large groups Reports To: Senior Program Director Compensation: Salary Range: $62-70K; commensurate with experience and bilingual proficiency Powered by JazzHR IvsNDFLXZj
