Job Description High Throughput Process Development Scientist responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: • Execute high throughput process development (HTPD) experiments with BSL-1 and BSL-2 biological agents and viruses., • Operate and maintain laboratory automation equipment (Tecan, Hamilton) to support HTPD screening experiments., • Perform analytical testing, including cell-based assays, biochemical testing, and/or HPLC to support HTPD experiments, and participate in development of new assays as needed., • Prepare laboratory reagents, solutions and culture media, • Analyze, collate, track, and report data back to client staff members, • Maintain records and test results following good manufacturing practices (GMP), • Work independently and efficiently, • Document work clearly and perform tests accurately, • Communicate effectively with client staff membersQualifications Minimum Qualifications: • B.S. in Biology, Cell Biology, Bio/chemical Engineering, or related science, • One year of general lab experience working with automated handlers like TECAN and Hamilton to support assays, • General laboratory skills, with at least one year of laboratory experience, • At least six months experience with aseptic and cell culture techniques, • Experience with cell-based (imaging, flow cytometry) and biochemical analytical techniques, • Highly computer literate. Capable of quickly learning and adapting to new computer programs. Experience using formulas and linking spreadsheets in Excel., • Experience in programming/coding (e.g. equipment software, Visual Basic, C++, MatLab, or Python programming) is considered a plus., • Experience working with laboratory automation or advanced computer-controlled laboratory equipment, such as chromatography workstations (e.g. Akta), or robotic liquid-handlers (e.g. Tecan or Hamilton)., • Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills, • Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail, • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude, • Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies Additional Information This position is Full-Time, Monday through Friday, 9a.m. to 5 p.m with overtime as needed. About the role We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative RD&A Scientist to join our Beverage team. This role is responsible for developing and optimizing beverage formulations across various formats including sparkling, still, juice, and functional beverages. Key responsibilities • Develop and prepare beverage formulations, syrups, and concentrates at lab and pilot plant scale., • Test and refine formulations to meet specific taste profiles and regulatory standards., • Customize beverage ingredients independently or within cross-functional teams., • Calculate calories and understand the role of sweeteners and nutrients in formulations., • Facilitate sample shipments for internal and external stakeholders., • Support beverage and taste development under GMP and safety standards., • Manage multiple tasks and deadlines with speed and accuracy., • Master formulation techniques for RTD (Ready-to-Drink) and RTM (Ready-to-Make) formats., • Apply exceptional sensory skills to define and discriminate flavor profiles under tight timelines., • Demonstrate a deep understanding of beverage processing techniques and nutritional value calculations., • Communicate formulation concepts effectively in commercial settings with customers., • Apply mathematical skills to work with dilutions, percentages, and ppm calculations., • Exhibit self-motivation and resourcefulness in solving complex formulation challenges. Qualifications and skills • Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science, Biology, Chemistry, or a related Applied Science., • Minimum of 5 years of experience in beverage development and formulation., • Strong scientific and analytical aptitude., • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with SAP is a plus., • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively. As a Data Scientist Intern, you will work on cutting-edge analytical and data engineering projects that drive measurable business impact across pricing, underwriting, marketing, and claims. This internship is ideal for a technically curious, motivated problem-solver who wants hands-on data science experience. RESPONSIBILITIES • Support the design, construction, and optimization of robust data pipelines to enable machine learning and analytical modeling., • Contribute to the design and implementation of data and ML workflows using orchestration tools such as Dagster, Airflow, or similar frameworks., • Help implement data quality checks, validation routines, and monitoring for automated data workflows., • Assist in organizing and managing internal GitHub repositories to standardize ML project structures and best practices., • Collaborate with data scientists and engineers to automate the ingestion, transformation, and delivery of data for model development., • Contribute to initiatives migrating analytical processes into cloud-based data lake architectures and modern platforms such as AWS or Snowflake., • Develop reusable and well-tested code to support analytical pipelines and internal tools using Python and SQL., • Conduct data mining, cleansing, and preparation tasks to build high-quality analytical datasets., • Participate in model development, including data profiling, model training, validation, and interpretation., • Build and evaluate predictive models that enhance profitability through improved segmentation and estimation of insurance risk., • Assist in studies evaluating new business models for customer segmentation, retention, and lifetime value., • Collaborate with business leaders to translate insights into operational improvements and cost efficiencies. QUALIFICATIONS • Currently pursuing or recently completed a Master’s in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, or related field., • Proficiency in Python (Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, XGBoost, or PyTorch) and SQL., • Understanding of data engineering concepts, ETL/ELT workflows, and machine learning deployment., • Exposure to workflow orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow, Dagster, Prefect) and Git/GitHub for collaborative development., • Familiarity with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform preferred., • Knowledge of AWS cloud services such as S3, Lambda, EC2, or SageMaker a plus., • Experience with common modeling techniques (e.g., GLM, tree-based models, Bayesian statistics, NLP, deep learning) through coursework or projects., • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills., • A self-starter mindset, with attention to detail and enthusiasm for learning new technologies. SALARY RANGE The pay range for this position is $35 hourly.
