Job Description LaBella Associates is looking for an entry-level Environmental Scientist/Geologist/Engineer to join our Environmental group in our Patchogue, NY office. Duties: • Performing field work throughout Long Island and the Lower Hudson Valley, • Performing soil, soil vapor, and groundwater sampling., • Performing / overseeing field activities and drilling on construction projects., • Collecting, recording, and organizing field data in a concise manner., • Data presentation, map creation, and report preparation., • Preparing deliverables on time and within budget., • Maintaining open communication with project team members., • Supporting various environmental projects to ensure their successful planning, implementation, and completion., • Representing the company in a professional manner and in line with firm's core values., • Conducting work to professional standards and following firm's QA/QC policy., • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, including environmental specialists, engineers, contractors, and government agencies, to achieve project objectives., • Collecting and analyzing environmental data, preparing reports, and communicating project progress, outcomes, and recommendations to stakeholders and regulatory authorities., • B.S. degree in Geology, Environmental Science, or Engineering, • 5 years of experience, • Possess excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills., • Must be team oriented with strong capability to motivate others., • Must be a highly motivated self-starter., • Ability to work in a fast-paced environmental consulting team environment., • Ability to work within a multi-disciplined group of professionals., • Organized with strong attention to detail, • Highly motivated, with excellent client service skills and a positive attitude, • Strong problem-solving skills, • Experience with MS Office Suite, • 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPPER certification a plus Salary Range: $45,000 - $60,000 The specific salary offered may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate's relevant experience, education, and work location.
