Job Description Compliance Manager – Restoration & Insurance Programs QUICK OVERVIEW - TL;DR (please read this section to ensure your fit before applying) Our client is hiring a Compliance Manager who will own and transform carrier scorecard performance across their high-growth NY/NJ restoration operations. This is a leadership role with real authority – not task management – for someone who thrives on driving performance through metrics, accountability, and systematic process improvement. THE WHO: Our client is a leader in the restoration and reconstruction space with nearly 400 offices serving residential, institutional, and commercial customers and clients across the United States and Canada. For over 50 years, our client has served their communities in their time of need when facing disaster. The New York/New Jersey operation is one of the larger and more complex markets in the system. THE WHAT: You will be the single point of accountability for compliance outcomes that directly impact millions in revenue flow and critical carrier relationships. This role demands someone who can seamlessly move from analyzing carrier scorecards to coaching team members on SLA compliance – equally comfortable diving into root cause analysis as you are holding tough accountability conversations with senior project managers. MUST HAVES: We are in search of a results-driven leader with a background in compliance, operations, or insurance-driven roles. You will bring experience owning compliance, SLAs, or operational KPIs, with demonstrated success improving scorecard-based performance. You must be comfortable managing teams in process-heavy environments and working collaboratively with Project Managers, Estimators, and Executive Leadership. We are also looking for people with experience in restoration industry operations or TPA/carrier claims programs. This may include insurance operations, third-party administration, or other business environments where compliance metrics directly impact revenue and business relationships. THE WHY: The restoration and reconstruction industry operates within strict carrier, TPA, and SLA frameworks. Strong compliance performance isn't "nice to have" – it directly impacts revenue flow, carrier relationships, and the company's ability to scale. This role is critical because it moves the organization from reactive compliance to best-in-class execution while reducing friction for field teams. THE WHERE: This is an in-office role based in New York (NYC/Metro NY) or Carlstadt, NJ, with occasional support for New Jersey operations. This is a hands-on leadership role embedded in day-to-day operations, requiring regular collaboration with Project Managers, Estimators, and Executive Leadership. THE HOW: There are three key strategic initiatives that this person will be initially tasked with: • Deployment of Centralized Compliance Excellence: Establish consistent scorecard performance across all carrier and TPA programs, ensuring a level of compliance execution that protects and strengthens carrier relationships., • Process Optimization and Team Development: Build and optimize compliance workflows that reduce PM friction, eliminate rework and errors, while coaching and developing a high-performing compliance team of 6-8 staff members. A CAREER-DEFINING OPPORTUNITY FOR A MOTIVATED, ANALYTICAL, & RESULTS-DRIVEN LEADER YOUR DNA You are a process-driven systems thinker who naturally sees workflows, root causes, and structured solutions. You don't just track metrics – you understand what drives them and how to influence them through better processes, training, and accountability. You come to the executive table with insight, intelligence, strategy, confidence, and strong direction. You don't need to be the loudest or the smartest, but you do need to lead with conviction, poise, accountability, and moxie when it comes to compliance standards. You bring a "roll up your sleeves" mentality and work ethic. You love and thrive getting into the weeds and navigating success with the proverbial blood, sweat, and tears of seeing a compliance strategy through to measurable results. You are in the compliance and performance business - and this runs deep into your DNA. You build partnerships, you know how to drive people to success, get buy-in from key stakeholders, lead with character and significance, and get teams to perform to their full potential while maintaining carrier relationships. You bring a mixture of heart, passion, and soul combined with an analytical, systematic, policy-driven, and compliance-led mindset to deliver results. You understand that it takes this mixture to deliver true long-term results and impactful change. You are assertive and authoritative when it comes to compliance standards, but you lead with data and coaching rather than just demands. You take ownership of outcomes and drive measurable improvement through systematic approaches rather than one-off fixes. This role requires an understanding of business priorities and ability to translate them into high-impact compliance results.
