BDS is a public defense office representing low-income New Yorkers in criminal, family, immigration, and civil legal matters. For nearly 30 years, BDS has worked, in and out of court, to protect and uphold the rights of individuals and to change laws and systems that perpetuate injustice and inequality. Our legal expertise work with clients is focused on the intersections of these legal systems that disproportionately impact Black and Brown communities living in poverty. BDS represents thousands of people each year who have diverse, complex, and multi-faceted legal needs. In addition to a zealous legal defense, our interdisciplinary teams of attorneys, social workers and advocates provide a wide range of legal and advocacy services, including for housing, public benefits, education, and employment. The Senior CL Psychiatrist working in this facility will lead the team in diagnostic review, treatment planning, and interdisciplinary case conferencing with medical, nursing, and social work for individuals housed in this facility with comorbid mental illness, including direct patient care as well as supervision of other psychiatric providers. The Senior CL Psychiatrist will also consult on the care of medically complex patients in other jail facilities. Experience working in correctional settings is not required, however the ability to work closely and effectively with multiple other disciplines, including security staff, is critical. This includes active participation in quality improvement, staff and patient safety initiatives, treatment supervision, and personnel mentorship and management., • In coordination with the facility-specific Mental Health Unit Chief and/or Senior Clinical Supervisor, design, implementation, ongoing review, and monitoring of relevant clinical facility-specific procedures, policies and operating manuals, • Direct clinical individual and group supervision of the relevant psychiatric prescribing staff, including psychiatrists, psychiatric nurse practitioners, and psychiatric physician assistants. Work collaboratively with RSC to ensure adequate coverage as needed in Wellness and Reflections d. Maintains on-going infection control surveillance, OSHA standards, universal precautions and basic sanitation and safety in Wellness Office and the Reflections Unit inclusive of the Resident’s apartments e. Assures the accuracy of Resident records and documentation in adherence with company policies as well as regulations of the State Department of Health f. Assures the medication management system adheres to State and local Department of Health laws and regulations and company policies, as well as Memory Care requirements: i. Assures thorough reviews of Medication Administration Records to include “chart to cart” audits, review of pre-MARs and final MARs. ii. Addresses all findings as a result of the review and develops appropriate training strategies to address such findings g. Job Description Director of Horticulture About This Opportunity Queens Botanical Garden is seeking an experienced and mission-aligned leader for the newly created position of Director of Horticulture. They will lead all horticultural and sustainable agriculture initiatives and operations, and work with the Executive Director, Supervisor of Gardeners, and other key staff and board members to develop a vision and plan for the Garden’s future as it continues to grow and develop with the highest standards for environmental sustainability. They will also support the integration of horticulture with the work of the rest of the organization, including day-to-day operations and programming of our active public space. As an innovative institution that adopted environmental sustainability, climate mitigation, and green operations back in 2001 in its Master Plan, QBG is at an exciting and critical juncture. Job Summary QSAC is hiring a Manager for our OPWDD-funded Residential Program. This essential position is responsible for the general operation of the residence, supervising staff, and maintaining a safe, supportive, and therapeutic environment which fosters growth and facilitates the development of independence of the people we support.
