Senior Operations Manager - Head of Operations\n Embassy Cleaners | Scarsdale, NY \n $125,000–$135,000 base + benefits \n Full-Time | On-Site \n Embassy Cleaners is seeking an exceptional Senior Operations Manager - Head of Operations to lead the day-to-day operations of our growing, multi-location premium garment and textile care business. \n This is not simply a management title. \n We are looking for someone who can lead people, create accountability, solve recurring problems, improve systems, and make sure important things actually get done. \n If you are the kind of leader who sees an operational problem and wants to understand why it keeps happening and how to fix it permanently, we want to meet you. About Embassy Cleaners\n Embassy Cleaners is a long-established industry leader in premium garment and textile care, serving discerning residential and commercial clients throughout the New York metropolitan area. \n A significant portion of our business is generated through pickup and delivery service, with our delivery fleet making approximately 1,000 customer stops per day. This creates a substantial route, logistics and service component to our operation in addition to our production and retail activities. \n We routinely care for couture and designer garments, luxury apparel and other high-end textiles, where exceptional quality, attention to detail and customer service are essential. \n Our services also include laundry, tailoring and alterations, specialized restoration services, and commercial and residential carpet, upholstery and drapery cleaning. \n We combine decades of craftsmanship and an exceptional reputation with an increasing emphasis on technology, automation, process improvement and modern operational management. \n We are entering an important next stage in our growth and are looking for an operations leader who wants the opportunity to make a significant and lasting impact. What You’ll Own\n You will work with the leadership team and take substantial responsibility for the daily performance of the company and allow the owner to take a step back. \n You will: \n\n • Lead, coach and develop managers, supervisors and frontline employees.\n, • Establish clear expectations and hold people accountable for performance, attendance and follow-through.\n, • Address difficult employee issues promptly, fairly and directly.\n, • Improve workflow, productivity, quality and coordination across departments.\n, • Identify root causes of recurring problems and implement lasting solutions.\n, • Develop meaningful operating metrics and use them to improve performance.\n, • Strengthen training, cross-training and organizational depth.\n, • Improve operational readiness, preventive maintenance and vendor follow-through.\n, • Help successfully implement new technology, AI, automation and process improvements.\n, • Reduce the need for routine operational issues to escalate to ownership.\n\n This is not a desk job. We want a leader who is visible throughout the operation and understands what is actually happening on the floor. Who We’re Looking For\n The right person is: \n Assertive without being aggressive. \n You are comfortable having difficult conversations and setting clear expectations. \n Exceptional at follow-through. \n Loose ends bother you. If something has an owner and a deadline, you make sure it gets completed. \n A strong problem solver. \n You look beyond symptoms and find the underlying cause. \n A strong people manager. \n You can lead long-tenured, highly skilled employees as well as newer team members. \n Calm under pressure. \n You bring clarity and steadiness when situations become difficult. \n Confident but not ego driven. \n You respect technical expertise, listen well and still lead. \n Systems-oriented. \n You believe strong operations should rely on clear processes, standards, measurements and accountability. \n Comfortable challenging the owner when appropriate. \n We are not looking for a “yes person.” We want someone who can respectfully say, “I disagree,” “Not yet,” or “Here’s a better way,” and explain why. Experience\n Ideally, you have: \n\n • 7+ years of progressively responsible operations experience.\n, • Significant experience managing frontline employees and supervisors.\n, • Experience in a labor-intensive service, production, manufacturing, distribution or route-based environment.\n, • Responsibility for staffing, workflow, productivity, quality and employee performance.\n, • A track record of improving processes and solving difficult operational problems.\n, • Experience using metrics, systems and technology to improve performance.\n\n Relevant backgrounds may include commercial laundry, textile rental, restoration, specialty manufacturing, distribution, logistics, route-based services, hospitality, luxury services, premium home services, facility services or other labor-intensive operations. Dry-cleaning experience is helpful, but not required.\n We would rather hire an outstanding operations leader who can learn our industry than an industry veteran who lacks strong leadership and management skills. Working With Ownership\n Embassy is an entrepreneurial, owner-led company. \n Our owner is progressive and forward-thinking, has a deep understanding of the business, maintains high standards, and continually identifies new ideas and opportunities. \n The right Operations Manager will help turn those ideas into priorities, execution and results. \n You should be comfortable saying: \n “We can do that, but these other priorities need to come first.” \n “I don’t think that’s the right approach, and here’s why.” \n “Here’s what happened, here’s what caused it, and here’s what I’ve already done about it.” \n If that kind of relationship excites you rather than intimidates you, this may be an excellent fit. Compensation & Benefits\n Base Salary: $125,000–$135,000 \n Benefits include: \n\n • Company-paid employee health insurance coverage\n, • 401(k) plan\n, • Paid vacation and paid time off\n, • Complimentary dry cleaning for the employee and their spouse or partner\n\n Location: Scarsdale, NY \n Schedule: Full-Time, On-Site \n Compensation: $125,000–$135,000 base + benefits
