WHAT YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR IN THIS ROLE The primary function of this position is to test, maintain, and repair equipment and systems utilized by production to ensure adherence to established performance levels and product quality. The Instrumentation Technician will monitor and control operating activities and perform maintenance and repairs as necessary.. JOB DUTIES: • Perform technical and mechanical maintenance and repairs on equipment as well as installations, • Assist with inventory control of spare parts for plant equipment, • Assist in managing and reducing repair costs, • Ensure assigned work assignments are completed accurately, • Responsible for opening/closing assigned work orders for repairs, • Installs, maintains, repairs, overhauls, verifies and adjust calibration, • Tests a wide variety of industrial instrumentation that record, indicate, control and regulate level, flow, pressure, temperature, position and water analysis, • Troubleshoots telemetry and process controller hardware, • Proactively maintains a functional knowledge of the operation of the telemetry system software and hardware, • Cleans, lubricates, verifies and adjust calibration as conditions of all metering control instruments as indicated, • Lay out, install and place into service new metering controlling and recording devices, verifies calibration as required, and extend or connect related electrical circuits when needed, • Other duties as assigned Other duties as assigned WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR Minimum Qualifications: • Associate’s degree in related field; or two (2+) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience, • Experience in Microsoft Office: Outlook, Excel, Word and Access, • Proven reliable work history Additional Required Qualifications: • Equipped with functional knowledge of the operation of the telemetry system software and hardware, • Possesses mechanical aptitude, • Effective communication/interpersonal skills, • Ability to interact with a diverse employee population and with internal/external customers in an effective, professional manner, • Proficient at analyzing and interpreting common /technical journals, and legal documents, • Ability to manage multiple projects, set priorities, proactively resolve challenges in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment Preferred Qualifications: • Previous experience in a fast paced, high volume food production/manufacturing facility, • Prior working knowledge of OSHA, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), FDA, USDA and EPA regulations, • Knowledge of database software, Intranet and Internet software, Maintenance Management System (MMS) Physical Demands: • May be required to walk, sit, stand, reach, climb or balance, stoop, kneel or crouch., • Ability to lift and/or move 50+ lbs., • Occasional exposure to cold (34 degrees) or sub-zero temperatures WHAT WE OFFER Our rich benefits packages are designed to support the health and well-being of both our eligible co-workers and their families. • Medical, • Dental, • Vision, • Group Life and AD&D, • Voluntary Life and AD&D, • Group Short-Term Disability, • Group Long-Term Disability, • Flexible Spending Accounts, • Employee Assistance Program, • 401(k), • Paid Time Off EQUAL EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY We are an equal opportunity employer committed to fostering a culturally diverse organization.
