Essential Functions The LPN is responsible for administration of all medications and treatments (except those specifically designated for an RN) during their shift, according to the established medical and nursing care plan. Works under the direction of the Head/Charge Nurse to provide optimum nursing care to all residents of the unit. • Continuously evaluates behavior, symptoms, reactions and progress of residents and discusses findings with the Nurse Manager/Charge Nurse., • Administers and documents all medications according to established policies and procedures, physician orders, and Department of Health regulations., • Performs all treatments according to physician’s specific order and established policies and procedures., • Discusses the need to discontinue or change medication for treatment with the Nurse Manager/ Charge Nurse., • Orders prescribed medications, notifies pharmacy of discontinued medications: and ensures accuracy of medications and dosages when received from pharmacy.

PURPOSE AND SCOPE: Functions as the hemodialysis team leader in the provision of chronic hemodialysis care and treatment. Provides day to day direction and supervision to assigned direct patient care staff. Communicates with the physician and other members of the healthcare team to interpret, adjust, and complete patient care plans. Provides safe, effective delivery of patient care in compliance with standards outlined in the facility procedure manual, as well as regulations set forth by the company, state, and federal agencies. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: General and Staff Related: * Provide day to day guidance, support and direction to direct patient care staff, providing informal feedback on an ongoing basis and formal feedback input for the annual performance evaluation. Participate in the department staffing and the appropriate hiring, firing and disciplinary actions. Recommend disciplinary action to Clinical Manager and initiate as appropriate. * Ensure compliance with all company and facility approved procedures and policies as well as regulations set forth by state and federal agencies in clinics with more than 100 patients. * Approve or disapprove time or personnel schedule changes in the absence on the Clinical Manager ensuring compliance with applicable regulations, policies and procedures for documenting time of work hours for staff members on assigned shift. * Participate in patient care plan meetings. * Maintain knowledge in the current practices related to the principles and techniques of dialysis by participating in all scheduled in-services. * Train and orient staff as necessary. * Routinely observe and guide direct patient care staff for appropriate technique and adherence to facility policies and procedures. * Promote and assist with compliance to OSHA programs in order to maintain a safe and clean working environment. * Maintain overall shift operation in a safe, efficient, and effective matter. * With Clinical Manager conduct staff meetings at least monthly or as needed to keep patient care staff informed of changes in patient care needs or operations to improve delivery of care. * Meet routinely with the Clinical Manager to discuss personnel and patient care status, issues, and information. * Supervise all documentation of patient information. * Coordinate Charge Nurse duties with Staff RNs acting in the relief charge capacity. Patient Care: * Assess daily patient care needs and develop and distribute patient care assignments appropriately. * Assume primary responsibility in an emergency situation. * Assess patient needs, respond to dialysis treatments, and communicate concerns to rounding physician. Implement changes in patient care/treatment as directed. * Monitor and supervise all patient care activity during dialysis and assist as necessary. * Collaborate with direct patient care team in making decisions to benefit patient care. * Continuously monitor patient's condition with regards to problems and potential complications associated with dialysis. * Administer medications to patients per physician's orders. * Act as the subject matter expert and as a resource for staff members. * Supervise and participate in completion of short- and long-term care plans. * Admit new patients according to facility procedure. * Ensure educational needs of patients are met and educate the patient and family about End Stage Renal Disease, dialysis therapy, diet and medication. Technical: * Supervise the safe and effective use of all equipment involved in direct patient care. * Operate all dialysis related and emergency equipment safely and efficiently when needed. * Perform required testing and verification and initial the checklist for start-up and shut-down procedures as outlined in the Technical Services Manual. * Complete Nurse's Technical Training Program/Water Quality Facility Training. Other: * Assist with special projects or other duties as assigned by the Clinical Manager * Assist with the interviewing of potential direct patient care staff as requested. * Promote efficient use of medical supplies. * Attend and participate in monthly Quality Assurance meetings. * Other duties as assigned. Essential Job Summary:: The Assistant Manager of Site Operations supports the Site Manager by directing the day-to-day operations of a single depot. They are responsible for establishing and maintaining performance and productivity metrics, as well as implementing cost management process. Acting as a key point of contact on the site for various operational aspects, will step in to lead the depot when the site manager is unavailable. Essential Job Functions: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other minor duties may be assigned.: • Manages the day-to-day operations of the depot and provides daily support to Operations Managers in ensuring quality and budget performance., • Leads continuous improvement projects to increase efficiency and productivity., • Manages all Operations Manager and Route Supervisor scheduling to ensure management coverage during all operating hours., • Monitors and improves all on-site processes during the launch, on route, and check-in procedures., • Monitors budget and operating metrics while diagnosing and improving processes, procedures and performance., • Executes necessary precautions to ensure safety and compliance with Company OSHA, and other standards and regulations., • Oversees personnel needs of the depot including selecting, coaching, disciplining, and training employees and evaluating employee performance. Provides input into termination, compensation and promotion decisions., • Formulates both short-term and long-term goals and action plans in conjunction with the Site Manager and/or Director of Operations., • Participates in regular P&L reviews to ensure that budgets are met; develops and implements programs for optimal equipment utilization, equipment maintenance and labor and material costs., • Works with functional groups to resolve employee relations and labor relations issues., • Works a changing shift schedule to oversee all facets of the operations when they are occurring. Episodic overnight and weekend shifts are necessary. Requirements and Qualifications::, • Minimum of 5 years of work experience (in addition to education requirement) in transportation, logistics, or solid waste operations in which coaching, routing assessments and leading employees is required., • Associate’s degree (accredited) or in lieu of degree, high school diploma or GED (accredited) and 2 years of relevant work experience., • Experience handling employee grievances and conducting investigations., • Prior experience in environmental services a plus., • Experience overseeing business plans, developing and tracking budgets., • Demonstrated ability to use a data-driven approach to decision making., • Leadership capabilities working across a matrix organization., • Experience implementing safety (OSHA) programs and equipment specifications., • Proven ability to work efficiently with minimal direct supervision., • Demonstrated ability to motivate others to achieve results., • Proven experience meeting business commitments, driving change and implementing process improvements., • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills., • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail., • Time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines., • Analytical and critical thinking skills., • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite or related software., • Must be able to work outdoors in all kinds of weather., • Proven experience in managing labor relations in a unionized environment., • Excellent computer skills with the ability to handle multiple programs and systems., • Must be able to communicate effectively and professionally via e-mail, telephone and 2-way devices.
