Job DescriptionAbout the Role We are seeking a dedicated Dispatcher – Life Safety/Security Communications Specialist to join a dynamic team supporting security, facility operations, and emergency response across domestic and international sites. This role is central to maintaining situational awareness and ensuring the safety of personnel and assets through effective communication and monitoring. Key Responsibilities • Receive and dispatch emergency and non-emergency calls, • Monitor access control systems, fire alarms, surveillance cameras, and critical system alerts, • Handle general access issues (e.g., badge lockouts, building entry) and life safety incidents, • Liaise with internal teams and external emergency services during incidents, • Create and manage work orders using Corrigo, • Utilize CAD systems for dispatch and incident reporting, • Disseminate urgent messages via Critical Event Management platforms, • Maintain certifications and complete required training programsTypical Call Volume, • ~10 general access calls per hour, • ~3–5 life safety calls per monthTraining & Certification, • NECI public safety training (1 week), • Emergency Medical Dispatch (24 hours), • Public Safety Telecommunicator I (24 hours), • On-the-job coaching (4 weeks), • Experience as a 911 dispatcher or emergency medical dispatcher, • Strong customer service or call center, • Emergency management experience preferred, • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, • Ability to handle constructive feedback, • Thick skin and resilience in high-pressure environmentsTeam & Culture, • Team of ~40 professionals from diverse backgrounds (former police, EMTs, dispatchers), • Supportive and collaborative environment, • Breaks: Two 30-minute breaks per shift + 10-minute breaks every 4 hoursAdditional Perks, • Shift differentials ranging from 8% to 15% The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
