Job Description DFX Events Marketing Intern - New York City About the Role We are seeking an enthusiastic and sociable NYC Marketing Intern to assist with the DFX brand and field marketing initiatives. This is an immersive internship where you'll collaborate directly with the founder and be part of the marketing team that brings financial technology and commercial real estate events to life in NYC. Please keep in mind this internship requires you to be based locally in NYC, ideally in Manhattan, Queens, or Brooklyn. What You will do • Attend capital market, tech startup, and private equity fundraising events on behalf of DFX., • Network with founders and investors., • Take an active role in managing marketing projects, including creative briefs, website and artwork design, and video production., • Learn to deliver compelling product or service pitches to potential customers., • Proactively engage with attendees to spark interest and initiate conversations., • Collaborate with the founder and marketing team members to prepare marketing and advertising plans and assets, while keeping the team updated on project statuses., • Provide timely and professional updates to executive leadership, coordinating meetings, briefings, and requests to ensure feedback is integrated into each project., • Work with the sales team and vendors to manage event planning and inventory coordination, as necessary., • Assist in creating social media content and various marketing materials, including LinkedIn blog posts, onsite event coverage, case studies, and more., • Prepare marketing reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data from multiple sources., • Conduct competitor research to identify industry trends and inform future marketing strategies, including content and social media planning., • BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience., • One year of marketing experience; experience in the financial services industry is preferred., • Excellent communicator with demonstrated mastery of cross-team communication; adept at keeping team members on-task and on-schedule in a fast-paced, dynamic environment., • Proficiency in communication tools such as Slack and project management tools like Notion to log activities and provide timely updates to the marketing team and stakeholders., • Knowledgeable about marketing processes and strategies, with prior experience in developing marketing plans and/or strategies., • Current senior or recent graduate in marketing, communications, business, or a related field (preferred)., • Outgoing communicator who enjoys connecting with new people., • Interest in event marketing, sales, or promotions., • Goal-oriented mindset with the ability to adapt to different audiences., • Hands-on experience in live event marketing campaigns., • Bonuses and commissions on paid sign-ups., • Structured training program and mentorship from the founder., • Flexible scheduling to accommodate your lifestyle or school commitments., • A fun, high-energy team culture that celebrates achievements., • Pathways for growth into marketing, events, and sales leadership roles.
