    We are looking for an experienced Toddler Lead Teacher to join our team. Salary: $20–$25 per hour Requirements: Diki Sunshine Childcare Center is a new established center located in Astoria, Queens and we are hiring lead teachers for 12 months to 24 months classroom. The positions will start immediately. We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Toodler Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will create a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children, fostering their social, emotional, and cognitive development. As a Toddler Teacher, you will play a crucial role in educating and caring for children aged 12 to 24 months, ensuring they are prepared for their next steps in education. Duties • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that promote learning through play and exploration., • Manage classroom behavior effectively, ensuring a positive and safe learning environment., • Assess children's developmental progress and adapt teaching methods to meet individual needs., • Foster strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to support children's growth., • Incorporate special education strategies when necessary to accommodate diverse learning needs., • Organize activities that promote physical, social, and emotional development., • Maintain a clean and organized classroom space conducive to learning., • Communicate regularly with parents about their child's progress and any concerns., • Collaborate with other educators and staff to enhance the educational experience., • Qualifications, • A Associate Degree or Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education (B-2)., • Child Development Associate (CDA) certification and a study plan leading to an associate's degree in early childhood education within seven years., • High school diploma or equivalent (GED); nine college credits in early childhood education or child development; two years’ experience caring for children, and a study plan leading to an associate's degree in early childhood education within seven years., • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) and five years of supervised experience in an infant/toddler classroom if currently employed in a permitted child care program., • High school diploma or equivalent (GED); and a study plan that is acceptable to the department leading to nine credits in early childhood education or childhood development within two years; and a study plan leading to an associate's degree in early childhood., • Previous experience in a school or childcare is preferred., • Strong skills in classroom management to maintain an effective learning environment., • Experience in babysitting, nannying, or caregiving for young children is advantageous., • Familiarity with toddler care principles and practices., • A genuine passion for educating young children and supporting their development., • Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with children, parents, and colleagues

Ensures that all mechanical systems are in good working order and compliant with all federal, state, and local ordinances. Ensures all team members are compliant with all BOH standards and procedures. Possesses in-depth knowledge of all food menus and the venue. Organize, develop and produce new recipes for potential new menu items and specials. Ensures expediting standards. Communicates clearly and concisely with all team members during service. Practical knowledge of the job duties of all supervised team members. Oversees the replacement or repair of all breakage and damage to equipment or furniture. Attends, leads, and participates in any training sessions, departmental meetings daily pre-shift meetings. Portrays a positive and professional attitude. WORKING KNOWLEDGE: Minimum 5 years of previous culinary experience as an Executive Chef or Senior Sous Chef within a high-volume kitchen setting is essential.
