We are actively seeking Construction Management Field Project Manager with 5-7 years of Project Management experience to join our highly-experienced team. We are looking for candidates to work at assigned job sites primarily located on Long Island. Our CM projects include Public projects in Schools, Libraries, Fire Districts. Candidates must be experienced, dedicated, focused and, 100% committed to the delivery of complex multi-year, multi-location projects. To learn more about us, visit our website – While working directly with the responsible project manager or Executive, a Field Project Manger oversees the day-to-day coordination of project delivery as the on-site representative of the construction manager and primarily work from the on-site trailer. Primary Responsibilities • Carefully review drawings and specifications to ensure a deep understanding of the projects, • Assist project manager in the development of initial project schedule, • Secure all government agency permits/approvals as required, • Prepare and work with project admin staff to create award recommendation letters, • Ensure all contractors entering the site have complied with the insurance requirements, • Confirm creation of a submission list along with a pro-active action for long lead-time items, • Oversee the delivery and securing of materials and ensure compliance with the specifications, • Proactively prepare for upcoming stages and management meetings, eliminating surprises, • Co-chair periodic project meetings and produce the meeting minutes for review and approval by the project manager, • Collaborate closely with the prime and subcontractors and the owner's site representatives, creating the environment for the smooth implementation of the plan, including pro-active monitoring and response to the challenges that arise on all projects, • Maintain general conditions of the worksite, ensuring safe storage of materials, proper designation of the work areas, secure access, and safe working environment for all, • Review the quality systems for effectiveness, efficiency, capability, and compliance, • Review “pencil copy” requisitions with the Project Manager, Architect, and Office support team, • Review and approve along with the project Architect proposed change orders (PCO's), • Maintain accurate daily logs and field observation reports, • Take daily progress photos and report any deviations from the plans to the appropriate contractor for resolution, • Must have 5-7 years’ experience as a hands-on construction project manager working in the field, with project values of $10 to 25 million dollars. We are not seeking assistant project managers who work from an office., • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or Project Management preferred. In-lieu of a degree, ten years of highly related work experience is acceptable, • Excellent verbal and written skills along with strong interpersonal skills. Strong writing skills are essential., • Independent starter who is a team player and professionally represents the company every day, • Thorough knowledge of construction cost, estimating, scheduling, and purchasing, • Highly capable of reading, understanding, and interpreting architect and engineering drawings, specifications, and plans, • Collaborate closely with the prime contractors, owner representatives and the project manager creating the environment for the smooth implementation of the program, including pro-active monitoring and response to the challenges that arise, • Experience with Procore is a plus., • Knowledge of other tools, Primavera, PlanGrid, Submittal Exchange, is helpful, • Experience with public funded projects a plus, • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite, • OSHA 30 card preferred, • Must have own transportation and be willing to travel to projects sites across Long Island Company DescriptionPark East Construction is a 37-year-old Construction Management and General Contracting company with over $5 billion dollars of portfolio experience.
