Job Description & Requirements • Specialty: Cath Lab Technologist, • Discipline: Allied Health Professional, • Start Date: 05/25/2026, • Duration: 13 weeks, • 36 hours per week, • Shift: 12 hours, days, • Ensure compliance with safe procedures during the delivery of cardiac services.\n, • Successfully pass the Monitor Technician Certification and Annual Telemetry Review.\n, • Demonstrate proficiency in the use and care of technical equipment, including x-ray and film processing equipment.\n, • Identify equipment problems and safety hazards, taking appropriate measures to initiate repairs.\n, • Understand the mechanics of various Cath Lab systems, troubleshooting issues, and correcting deficiencies.\n, • Maintain a downtime log and complete accurate procedural records and technical notations.\n, • Accurately obtain, calculate, and analyze hemodynamic data.\n, • Assist in the preparation of patients for procedures, ensuring maximum comfort and safety.\n, • Educate patients regarding procedures before and after the process.\n, • Ensure proper completion of reports and documentation, including x-ray requisitions and film labels.\n, • Handle Cine Films correctly, including mailing and retrieving.\n, • Regularly check supplies for expiration dates and identify expired equipment promptly.\n, • Maintain orderly and clean supplies, ensuring appropriate levels of necessary radiographic equipment are met.\n, • Prepare the procedure room and lay out the necessary supplies prior to procedures.\n, • Maintain turnover time within 15 minutes, demonstrating familiarity with individual cardiologists' preferences.\n, • Maintain aseptic surgical techniques during invasive procedures and adhere to universal precautions.\n, • Verify patient identification and ensure all medical records are accurately labeled.\n, • Confirm the completion of consents and adherence to low-risk criteria.\n, • Follow policies and procedures for operation, troubleshooting, quality control, and archival systems.\n\n\nRequired Skills and Experience\n\n, • Minimum of 3 years of experience in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab.\n, • Experience with permanent pacemaker placement and use of Impella and balloon pumps is required.\n\n\nPreferred Skills and Experience\n\n, • Experience in a Mac lab environment is preferred.\n, • Familiarity with EPIC system is advantageous.\n\n\nEducation and Certifications\n\n, • Maintain IABP Certification.\n, • Effectively pass the Monitor Technician Certification and Annual Telemetry Review.\n, • BLS Certification required.\n, • Radiology certification is mandatory.\n\n\nSchedule Information\n\n, • Location: City, State\n, • Shift: Day Shift - 7:00 AM to 6:30 PM\n, • Hours per Week: 40 (4x10)\n, • Weekend Requirement: Weekends as needed\n, • Holiday Requirement: Holidays required (1 summer, 1 winter)\n, • Float Requirement: No float required\n, • Vision benefits, • Life insurance, • Weekly pay, • License and certification reimbursement, • Guaranteed Hours, • Referral bonus, • Medical benefits, • Dental benefits
