The Geyer Family Center instructs 400+ participants in each session of swimming lessons. The Aquatics Director will work collaboratively with the Aquatics Director at the Park St. location to ensure program objectives are met consistently across the association. The Rescue tube must be properly worn, with the strap on the shoulder and holding it in front of the body. Preferred Qualifications: * Certification from a recognized swim coaching organization such as ASCA (American Swimming Coaches Association) or WSI from Red Cross. * Experience working with diverse age groups and skill levels in both competitive and recreational settings. * First aid certification beyond basic CPR/AED. * Experience organizing and managing swim camps or clinics. Responsibilities: * Develop and execute comprehensive swim training plans that address technique, conditioning, and race strategy for all team members. * Provide direct instruction and supervision during swim practices and camp sessions, ensuring safety and effective skill development. * Organize and lead swim meets, including coordinating logistics, motivating athletes, and managing team participation. * Evaluate swimmer performance regularly and provide constructive feedback to athletes and parents to support continuous improvement. * Maintain a positive and inclusive team culture that encourages respect, discipline, and enthusiasm for the sport. This includes vacations, camps, orientations, or other commitments. Once the season schedule is finalized, time off requests must be submitted as early as possible and are subject to approval based on operational needs. Approval is not guaranteed during peak program periods. Unapproved absences or repeated last-minute schedule changes may result in disciplinary action and/or removal from the position. Meet Attendance Requirement Attendance at all assigned swim meets is a required component of this position. Coaches are expected to be present for the full duration of meets unless otherwise approved in advance by swim team management or pool administration.

Job DescriptionJob Title: Assistant General Manager Aquatics Reports to: General Manager Summary: Oversees the quality and success of Goldfish Swim School. This encompasses all daily operations including safety, staffing, pool operations, swim lesson quality, customer service, and workplace employee activities amongst other duties. Duties and Responsibilities include the following: 1. Directs and controls the daily operations to ensure the school is running according to GSS standard operating procedures., 2. Helps the General Manager and department managers fulfill all daily tasks., 3. Manages the staff of GSS to ensure high productivity, excellent performance and positive employee satisfaction., 4. Initiates and oversees workplace employee activities with the goal of achieving improved employee satisfaction., 5. Trains and oversees the aquatics department to provide superior swim instruction to the students of GSS., 7. Troubleshoot the mechanical room as necessary., 8. Gains a high level of knowledge and experience in the GSS pool operations necessary to maintain a safe and sanitary swim environment., 9. Development of wet side staff., 10. Ensures the highest level of swim lesson quality., 12. Maintains current certifications and stays up-to-date professionally on the aquatics and management field. Education/Experience: High school diploma or GED is preferred. Experience as a certified lifeguard, youth sports instructor/coach, camp counselor, and/or childcare provider required. Two or more years as a swimming instructor preferred. Work Environment: While performing this job, the employee is regularly exposed to heat and humidity. Noise level is usually moderate.
