Job DescriptionJob Title: GroundskeeperJob Description The groundskeeper performs general maintenance of grounds including grass cutting, trimming, edging, trash removal, recycling, leaf removal, weeding, fertilizing, liming, pruning, mulching, deadheading, and watering. Additionally, the role involves planting flowers, shrubs, and trees, as well as performing topsoil installations, rough and fine grading, and establishing lawns from seed and sod on campus grounds. Operating walk-behind power equipment such as tractors, lawnmowers, and trimmers is also required, alongside performing snow removal duties using snow shovels, snow blowers, and snow vehicles/plows. The role also includes installing and maintaining items like street signs, poles, parking bumpers, trash containers, landscape ties, and snow fences. Furthermore, the groundskeeper is responsible for erecting and breaking down bleachers, chairs, platforms, lecture hall equipment, and other equipment used for special events.
